Please pray for me for emotional and mental healing, for God to restore to me the joy of the Lord. For God to heal me and to turn a bad situation around for my best interest and to show me he is working. For God to give me peace about the situation and to restore a broken friendship

Hello @Jen Rodriguez, I see that you are a new member, so first off, WELCOME TO CF  I am praying for you!

Trusting that God is in control when your life seems so out of control (and when little else than bad things seem to be happening) can be a very difficult thing to do, because our feelings are telling us that He isn't. Whenever that happens, I go right back to the foot of the Cross and remember all that He did (and does) for me, and how very much He loves me :)

I also try to find things, the littlest of things at first, to thank Him for as a way of helping me continue to move past my feelings and get back to trusting Him/taking Him at His word again .. e.g. Philippians 4:6-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Finally, I try to rest in His great and wondrous promises, remembering that He sees my life from a perspective that I am unable to see (e.g. from beginning to end), and that what He has promised to accomplish in my life, to sanctify me (grow me up in His Son/in Chrislikeness) is being accomplished by Him (even though I may not like the way that He is choosing to do so ;)) .. e.g. Romans 8:28; Philippians 1:6, 2:13; Hebrews 12:7-11; cf Romans 4:20-21.

God bless you! (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

p.s. - please click on the graphic in my signature line below, as I believe Pastor Swindoll's advice is excellent advice to keep in mind whenever we find ourselves in the middle of times like you are experiencing right now. And here are three other Christian quotes that I hope you will find to be helpful (and hopefully comforting) as well.

Our vision is so limited we can hardly imagine a love that does not show itself in protection from suffering.... The love of God did not protect His own Son.... He will not necessarily protect us - not from anything it takes to make us like His Son. A lot of hammering and chiseling and purifying by fire will have to go into the process. ~Missionary/author Elisabeth Elliot

Instead of a river, God often gives us a brook, which may be running today and dried up tomorrow. Why? To teach us not to rest in our blessings, but in the Blesser Himself. ~Theologian/Pastor Arthur W. Pink

I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages.
~Theologian/Pastor Charles Spurgeon
edit: Hello again Jen, I began this reply to you but had to leave. When I returned, I finished it and posted it before seeing what you had to say in your last post. I'm happy to see that you already understand how God is working in your life, and that you can thank Him for all of it, even in the midst of the difficulties you are facing :) I will keep praying for you sister!
