You just said, "You don't seem to realize that we move and inspire those other countries to try and do better and be better people."

Which countries do think the USA is "moving" and "inspiring" exactly?
I don't want to name names since that is impolite, so let me say, it's the nations who aspire to be like us.

I'm not aware of any nations that specifically aspire to be like the U.S.

Well I didn't say that. I appreciate your concession that you can't understand something, but it won't help when you base conclusions on things that are made up.
Well, when you say nonsense, its quite usual people will not understand you.

You can either explain your chain of thoughts or give up and dance around without any explanation.

Of course they wouldn't admit it, being jealous and all. So it's usually the ones that say they don't aspire to be like us that feel the most put down and are trying to catch up.

Okay, I confess, I'm yanking your chain!! I study psycho linguistics and I'm bored being stuck here.

I'm just joking. I'm bored and was being mischievous with you people. I laughed a lot at your expense, so thank you for that and yet I'm sorry to play you like that.

Pride. Just, the kind of pride-fullness that Christians are supposed to think is sinful.
It was a practical joke. You were the first to realize I was being facetious about honesty and humility.

Alert: (I'm only having fun trying to say what some vain American might think)
Well, when you say nonsense, its quite usual people will not understand you.
1) Actually, As an American I find that when I say the word "nonsense" usually most people understand the term.
2)As an American I am fully able to comprehend that when something is over one's head it appears like nonsense.
You can either explain your chain of thoughts or give up and dance around without any explanation.
That's nonsense. I already explained it and you yourself admitted you can't understand. Why would I find reason to dance around about that?

You have to admire his sincere honesty and humility in admitting he doesn't know if anybody knows.
The experts don't know exactly what it is, by which we mean they don't know everything about it. That should be apparent to anyone who has been following developments and noting the challenges that they all face in getting this pandemic under control.

If they did know all about it, we would all simply be getting our immunizations now or would be certain how many people are likely to be infected or long it will be before the disease runs its course. But we don"t have those answers as yet.

It often takes more than the usual knowledge about something to recognize how much is still to be learned. The people who think they "know it all" in a flash are the ones to avoid.

You can't make this stuff up...

Trump on Coronavirus: "I'm Not Sure Anybody Even Knows What It Is"; "You Can Call It A Germ, You Can Call It A Flu"

The other thing that's nice and the one thing that has come out, and I learned this, again, it was reaffirmed by President Xi last night in my conversation, the young people are really, this is an incredible phenomenon, but they are attacked, successfully attacked to a much lesser extent by this pandemic, by this disease. This whatever they want to call it. You call it a germ, you can call it a flu, you can call it a virus. You know, you can call it many different names. I'm not sure anybody even knows what it is, but the children do very well. (my emphasis)

Invisible.

His base are the people who watch Armageddon and Indepence Day with goose bumps on their arms so they will never get how repeating the obvious truth of US superiority might in any way or form be a relative function instead of absolute one.

Hey, I felt that way watching those movies...

The experts don't know exactly what it is, by which we mean they don't know everything about it.

That's not the context of Trump's words though. The context of the words is about the basic definition of what this novel coronavirus is (e.g. it's a virus).

Personally, I'm reluctant to decide for myself what the speaker was thinking if I have to do that in order to make my denunciation seem plausible.

I know that not everyone agrees with that standard, however.

I disagree. They know it's a strain of corona virus. The semantics show Trump doesn't seem to care what it's called, "germ or whatever". Hard to say. Sometimes Trump doesn't seem to read very well and he covers his mistakes ad lib with comments that try to hide his disabilities. This is more likely why he says he doesn't know if anyone knows what it is. It's a universal disclaimer.

If they did know all about it, we would all simply be getting our immunizations now or would be certain how many people are likely to be infected or long it will be before the disease runs its course. But we don"t have those answers as yet.
That is somewhat true. But that is not the context here. The context is kids don't get as sick.

It often takes more than the usual knowledge about something to recognize how much is still to be learned. The people who think they "know it all" in a flash are the ones to avoid.
(I'm going to pretend I don't see an ad hominem attack.) Yeah those know-it-alls are seriously messed up, which is why I always trust the people who don't know what to call something.

USA is not an inspirational country. Their president is an embarrassment, and half their people are crazy. I think most other western styled countries are better examples of the "western" styled way of life.

stevil, I was joking. But yes half of us can't seem to tell a subjective lie from the objective truth which impedes our ability to agree on reality. How about you? After all you took me seriously.

It's difficult to understand a post. I can't hear the sarcasm in your tone. I don't know you, so I don't know what you are usually like. In a forum that has a huge amount of USA people, it is hard to distinguish a POE from a real person. Quite often I read stuff that is hardly believable that a person would really say or think.

I know what you mean. I'm not usually like that, but I felt facetious and had a good laugh pretending to be a vain American. Did you read any of my other posts? Start at the beginning of the thread and check out the responses I gave to a couple of wonderful posters here before I let them know I was joking.
