It is possible to make a show of some amount of transparency, but not show everything.
Just saying it is so does not make it so.
But in case anyone is not being really forthright, this is not "China" or "America", but the individuals who are choosing to do this.
Even if China is underreporting their numbers, I’d like to think we’re not and our numbers don’t look good at all.
I'm not saying you could do this, but I know how I myself can make up anything at all, while I have no actual eye-witness evidence.
Yes, it is possible how ones with political and control motives might give false information in order to damage-control their political reputation. We have seen this not only in politics, but there have been humans claiming to be Catholics, who have done cover-ups. And if there are dishonest leaders in China, they could do this. So, also in the U.S. > there can be humans who are willing to cover up info about the numbers of COVID-19 victims.
But > there is an item to consider > authorities say not all people infected with coronavirus even show symptoms. So, these might not be reported. Also, ones with the disease could see their symptoms are not obvious; so they might on purpose cover up for their own selves.
People at the bottom can cover up, too, right? And if ones do, how can the ones in authority be able to report them? And these lower cover-uppers could be going to work, kissing in church . . . on we could go.
This can be part of why they say to stay six feet.
Because they have cases they can't explain, if I understand correctly. Why don't they have certain cases figured out? It could simply be that certain people are having little enough trouble with their COVID-19 so they can go undetected while they get out and around, even getting close with family members. Yes, there can be ones who do not realize their mild symptoms need to be checked.
But others can on purpose cover up.
There are humans quite able to do this, not only ones at the top.
