No matter what religious views you hold, being considerate and maintain good hygiene are important for slowing down the epidermis.
- Wash your hands and use disinfections if you're outside
- Clean the surfaces regularly including your gadgets, they're the hidden danger since we're using them often
- Help your neighbours when they're in need, like buying groceries and sending prayer or blessing cards especially for the most vulnerable groups. Recently there's already a transpartisan (from the left to the Christian democrats)cooperation network supporting the residents in a central German town, and young people are helping their elderly neighbours doing their daily grocery shoppings. Even a small blessing card means a lot to them.
- Don't go out in a crowd or only go outside solo if necessary
- Greet your neighbours (ofc in a safe distance of 1.5 metres) so that they'll feel loved and supported
- Get properly informed and there're lots of mythbusters made by experts, since there're fake news and quack remedies flying around.

Thank you very much. Greeting my neighbor is a little more difficult. But I am pretty sure you are right. I have become very self-absorbed during this time and focusing on myself. But thank you very much for all of your advice.

That is what I read. I read that the virus is no more dangerous than the flu. But with all the news coverage and everything it seems like it is.

But that is my fear talking. And thank you so much for the versus that you quoted.
I am guessing it is 50% easier to be infected. So more people will get it than normal flue. The intensity seems to be a bit higher. If you are in good health you will survive it like the usual seasonal flue. But people are taking extra precautions during this epidemic to keep the spread as low as possible so the fewest people who are vulnerable will get exposed.

When God has you scheduled, you will be with Him and not one minute sooner.

Matthew 10:30
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

Thank you very much. That is very informative. That is why I need to be very careful
Yes, cover your face, keep distance from people, stay at home and if you need to go shopping, wash your hands and face carefully after that and change clothes.

On the other hand, in your age and with your health you are not in any significant risk. Death reate for your age group is 0.2% for coronavirus. So the bigger problem would be that if you be contagious and spread the virus to older ones or weaker ones. So you protect yourself mainly because you care for them.

Father God I come to you in the name of Jesus. I asked Father God that you would give Jesse rest. Give him peace of mind Lord. Do not allow the Enemy to distort his fear into anything more. Help him to be cautious Lord but not obsessed. Help him to be wise but not fearful. Let your peace engulf him.
I pray this also for anyone else who might read this post and need the same assurance from you.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Thank you very much for your prayer. God bless

Yes, very good advice. Thank you

My mom is elderly. And I need to think about how all these other people are somebody else's mom and/or dad.

My chief concern is unknowingly passing the virus to someone vulnerable. I self-isolate, pray, and trust in God's mercy.

That should be my chief concern as well. But throughout this whole thing I've been pretty self-absorbed.

What is the worst thing that can happen to you? You can die. Most people do not. The typical flu virus kills a lot of people also. If you are a Christian, then death is not the end for you but a doorway to heaven.

Hebrews 2:
"14Now since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil, 15and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death."

You need to ask God why you are so afraid and ask Him to set you free - Psalm 34:4
"I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears."

You won't get the virus from the trash. How is it going to get in there in the first place?

I have been questioning whether I am a true Christian or not. That is probably also the reason why I'm so scared. I haven't really been living for God. But I have just started to repent and ask God's forgiveness. I just hope that I am able to bear fruit with repentance, like John the Baptist talked about.

I've recently learned that I somehow really enjoy touching stuff and then immediately touching my face. I didn't know I had this habit until now when everything is potentially harboring the tiny tiny enemy.

I am always touching my face. I get an itch in my eye. I like to bite my nails. It is a little bit of an adjustment. Now I think I'm going to buy nail clippers.

"You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

Thank you very much for this verse. My mind does need to stay on him. But I have been very selfish and self-absorbed. My selfishness has been brought to my attention during this crisis.

Dear brother i know what anxiety is about i have suffered from it for years. And i still often get bouts of anxiety. The best thing is to shut the world out, no more media, and find your safety in God's word. Once you can say from the bottom of your heart - Lord i trust in you no matter what befalls me - you know you are safely in His care.

Psalms 91

Get these words into your heart and your anxiety will fall on deaf ears from then on.

Honestly true a life where anxiety can't scare you any more is awesome. i love Jesus for setting me free from my fears. i brought Him all my fears, and keep doing that forever, it took a long time before i dared to trust Him at His word, but He did teach me in the end.

Be of good courage.

Thank you very much @Jeshu

Look towards Jesus.

Dont concentrate on the news so much.

Try and be positive my friend. You are healthy so be grateful and thank Our Lord for that and put your trust in Him 100%.

God bless you

I do need to count my blessings. And yes I do need to look towards Jesus.

Thank you very much for the reminder.

Ok some practical advice. Rather than constantly washing your hands, clean with disinfectant all the surfaces you regularly touch.
That is door handles, light switches, do take care not to fuse or electrolyte yourself, etc etc.
Once these have been cleaned, you only need to follow normal hygiene rules.
Wash hands after going to the toilet, before handling food and after coming in from outside.
Wash hands using soap and water for twenty seconds.

When outside keep at least six feet from anyone else.don't shake hands etc, use video calls to keep in touch with family and friends.

Look after yourself, once you have cleaned your surfaces, you will only need to do that again after you have been shopping.
Check the online advice, try the BBC if you don't trust us advice.

I trust your advice. I appreciate you for taking the time to write that.

understand your fear as it is stressful to go out shopping

I'm mostly waiting until after 7 pm to go out
tonight was at drug store after 8:30
very few customers & no one was even near me

I put on gloves to go in store
any money back, have clerk put in bag & not touching for days

if you need to get something, go out in evening as fewer people out OR if you can order online

I tried to wait until 7 p.m. to go out but the stores are closed here at that time. But when I do go out I will put on gloves, cover my mouth and nose, and wash my hands.

I will go shopping as early as I can. I went today at 8 in the morning, and people were hardly there.

Thank you very much for your advice. It was your advice that made me decide to go as early as possible. I couldn't go at 7 because the store closed.

We want and try to pick it up a notch, but never get close to perfect with our own works.

Firstly, it’s great you are healthy and okay. :)

All you can do is wash hands after going out and just limiting time in public spaces.

I think it would be a good idea to hang out with your mum too. You aren’t sick so in these times it’s good to be with family.

Secondly, see if you can reduce the amount of time spent watching the news. It’s important to be aware of what’s happening to a degree.

The fear and anxiety is what’s going on inside your mind. You must try to relax and that may mean abstaining from watching the news. Accepting that you cannot control everything is key. All you can do is limit time exposed to public places etc & washing hands after touching shared public surfaces.

Thank you very much. My mom is very healthy as well. She lives outside of town and she is not afraid to die if she does.

I think you are right about being around family. But when I am around family I will use precautions and safety. My mom does. She covers her mouth and uses gloves. She is even going to start wearing sunglasses.

But at the same time, I am afraid of giving it to my mom. My mom is very vulnerable. She has high blood pressure, plus she is elderly. She is using every precautions now.

Yeah, I also agree with you about how we should keep ourselves in form to a degree. But we should also not obsess over it.

It is hard to accept that I can't control everything. But I can try to keep myself safe. So, I am going to try to relax.

If your hands are starting to crack, use some light gloves or gloves for one use instead of frequent washing.

Also, if you do not touch your face, it does not matter so much that you would have the virus on your hands. It cannot infect you through your skin, it must get to eyes, mouth or nose. On most surfaces (except of plastics) the virus can live just few hours, so after you get up in the morning, your home is quite virus-free, so no need to wash your hands again.

Use sun light and fresh air, eat vitamins and simply be careful around people and you will be fine.

And even, even if you catch it, its probable you will not even notice it. And if you will notice it, it will be very mild in your age.

Thank you very much. That is very helpful
