Good night, I'm going to bed. You wouldn't answer a simple question, and I just don't really care anymore.
Given what is happening in Italy and Spain, this is not surprising. Our health and death systems are going to be stretched and will break under the strain the sick will put on them.NYC morgues near capacity, DHS briefing warns

Makeshift morgue for coronavirus victims set up outside NYC hospital
Last week my six year old grandson was hospitalised for "a severe chest infection". He was placed in isolation and on supplementary oxygen. He tested negative for Covid-19. After a couple of rough nights he was released after five days and has now fully recovered. My point is that all the illness and disease potential that was there before Covid-19 is still there. Perhaps that's what happened with your friend. He has most of the symptoms and his wife is positive, but they say he's negative, so that's just odd to me. Either way he is starting to feel better, just tired for now. He's been on an inhaler this week to help breathing.

I would be interested in a sound source for that number. It runs counter to the understanding in the UK.How do you know he didn't have Covid-19? The accuracy is about 70% for the U.S. right now.
He almost certainly acquired it from his mother who was poorly for a couple of days. He generally picks up anything that is going around then passes it on to me. Their focus was on restoring him to health and determining whether or not it was Covid-19.Did they find out why he had a sudden chest infection?
Thank you.I am glad he has recovered no matter the cause.
I'm just noting that coincidences do occur - sometimes more often than we imagine. And, yes, it may have been a false-negative. Just another reason why isolation and social distancing are crucial in order to flatten the curve. And remember that my friend's son's wife tested positive, and they've been together with the same symptoms. She got more sick than he did but is recovered now. He did not have to be hospitalized, is in his 20's, but did have to get an inhaler to help with breathing.

A day off on the 100,000 cases. Johns Hopkins reporting 100,717 in the US on 3/27.
But those numbers don't mean that many people are still sick. Many of those are now recovered.
