That's not true. It is absolute truth about God but absolute truth can be found many places.

Sure but that doesn't answer that post very well.
I see so you want to search for truth in these "many other places', but then you would have nothing to compare it to without the Bible. And really, more specifically, truth in what is happening around us and the political atmosphere.

What did Christ say here?

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

As a Christian, it is my responsibility to seek truth wherever it may be. God lives within his children and his Spirit leads us to the truth.

One can find truth in politics but it's not an easy find. As an example, Trump is the most lying President in recent history but he does tell some facts on occasion but he trusts his belief system more than the truth.

Yep, so don't let politics, left or right, separate you from God but this verse says nothing about truth only being in the Bible.

The Hive-mind expressed is always fascinating:

No, it wasn't.
Yes it was. The Trump Tower meeting was collision and admitted to by those present. What it didn't rise to was criminal conspiracy, which is what Mueller was investigating.

How would you really know what is true and factual versus a lie if you did not have some kind of guide to back you up?

You are presenting a similar argument that I heard from an atheist at one time.

.

Here is another one:

John 16:13
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

I assume the Catholics claim the Holy Spirit of the Spirit of truth.

Did Christ say look somewhere else for some of the truth?

Didn't Christ tell the Apostles that the Holy Spirit would come to be our helper? We are given that Spirit through baptism. That Spirit tells us that 1+1+1=1 spiritually. We also have a brain which tells us that 1+1+1=3. Both are the truth.

In politics, if a politician says something on video, whether it is fact or not, the video is proof that he said it. That he made the statement is truth.

Atheists can tell the truth.

You can use your brain to follow God's truths or one or one the many deceptions.

This last part is an untruth

Seems you are more interested in arguing than in determining truth which was the topic in this discussion.

I am out of here.

You think you are, but you sure dont sound like one to me. Just my opinion.
Right wingers think everyone who disagrees with them are liberals. :) I've taken the test to see where my views line up and they are just left of center, in the moderate range. I am a Libertarian.

Why do you support liberals all the time if you area libertarian? Liberals and libertarians dont agree. Liberals believe in more government and libertarians believe in less government,

The Libertarian Party is a political party in the United States that promotes civil liberties, non-interventionism, laissez-faire capitalism, and limiting the size and scope of government.

Mainly because Republicans do little to help the American working man. As President of the local union for 20 years I saw just who helps the people and economy best.
Liberals and libertarians dont agree.
Libertarians and Republicans don't agree either.
Liberals believe in more government and libertarians believe in less government,
Republicans say they want less government but grow government more than liberals. The bulk of our national debt belongs to Republicans.
The Libertarian Party is a political party in the United States that promotes civil liberties,
Yep, but Republicans don't. I believe that each person is equal and have the right to do whatever they want as long as they don't infringe on another person's rights. Many Republicans demand minorities conform to their vision of what America should be.
non-interventionism,
Republicans are the opposite of this and intervene in other countries affairs.
laissez-faire capitalism, and limiting the size and scope of government.
As I said, I am a moderate. Libertarians are mostly Conservative, as a Party, but all libertarians agree with the Party on all issues. I recognize that the economy needs socialism to work properly. Laissez-faire capitalists are greedy.

I worked in a non union shop and also the unionized shop next door. The non union shop had better safety equipment. Both paid the same, but the union shop did increase that pay a little faster than the non Union shop. Republicans do their best to work for businesses which creates jobs. Trumps renegotiating NAFTA and our trade deal with China proves that. They care about the working man too.

Every union shop is different, depending on leadership. The safety equipment depends more on the company than the Union as both have to adhere to OSHA standards.
Non-union shops and all Americans, though, can thank the work done by the Unions, over the past hundred years, for the benefits they enjoy, today.

Republicans do their best to work for businesses which creates jobs.
That's just another Republican lie as businesses, job creation, wages, etc. fare much better during Democrat administrations. Republicans don't like the regulations that Dems put in place to keep them from doing stupid things which lead to recessions or depressions.
Trumps renegotiating NAFTA and our trade deal with China proves that.
NAFTA is a purely Republican scheme. It was created by Daddy Bush and passed by a Republican Congress, but without a Democrat vote and signed by Clinton, a moderate Democratic President, his worst mistake. Unions fought hard to stop it then and fought to end it or dismantle it further but Trump's new Deal changed very little about NAFTA.

They care about the working man too.
They want the working man to "think" they care about him but most are not smart enough to comprehend how they get played by Republicans or their corporate leaders. (Throw crumbs at a starving man and he will follow you)

It was actually a bipartisan bill.

North American Free Trade Agreement - Wikipedia

The bill passed the Senate on November 20, 1993, 61–38. Senate supporters were 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats. Clinton signed it into law on December 8, 1993; the agreement went into effect on January 1, 1994. Clinton, while signing the NAFTA bill, stated that "NAFTA means jobs.
