Joe Biden's gaffe-filled coronavirus media blitz drives negative headlines

Joe Biden has had a gaffe-filled week in his return to the spotlight after being oddly invisible the previous week amid the coronavirus pandemic, with his hastily arranged comeback blitz driving an onslaught of negative publicity.

“Over the past 48 hours, he has shown up several times -- in his own live-streamed statement, on ‘The View,’ on MSNBC and CNN. It did not go well,” Fourth Watch editor Steve Krakauer wrote. “Look, I think we as a society should respect our elders. But there's just something wrong with Joe Biden.”

It started Monday with widely panned remarks on the coronavirus, featuring the 2020 Democratic front-runner appearing to lose his train of thought when his teleprompter malfunctioned.

The livestream began with Biden touching his face despite ongoing warnings not to do that during the coronavirus pandemic—but this would a reoccurring blunder for the former vice president.

As an outsider, I am far more interested in the current global health epidemic than what Biden's wanders around doing until the November election. Personally, I think you should have a law that says noone over 65 can even run for president, the end. But I do have a question: If, as you say, his actions were "widely panned", why...really, why, of all the panning you chose rando who-the-heck Steve Krakauer of nobody-has-ever-heard-of-it-before "Fourth Watch", what ever that is, which I would never click on because the link...

Would it help if I said I think Biden would make a dreadful president and making fun of him makes perfect sense to me? That if I was American i'd probably vote Trump over Biden? Would that help focus you on the actual question I asked?

Joe is a mess, and he's getting just what he deserves for, among other things, using the virus for his own gain.

I almost feel bad for him....almost.

And standing on the backs of the thousands of virus patients (both living and deceased) as a platform to attack Trump. It's his way of saying, "Vote for me! I'm the type of person you want leading the country!"

Biden has probably been advised just to be content to sit on the sidelines and wait for this President to self-destruct!

Given that Trump has pushed VP Pence aside to become the "face" of the federal government's response, one wonders as to how long that will last once the pandemic begins to overwhelm the nation's healthcare system!

Trump's base hasn't been subjected to the brunt of this pandemic, and when it does it should be interesting as to how it responds to this "rosy" picture that this President portrays when it bears little resemblance to the circumstances they're experiencing!
