2. Jesus is GOD and uncreated.
Is believing Jesus is GOD a salvation issue?

Yes, I believe it is.

Jesus said, "if ye believe not that I am [he],
ye shall die in your sins." (John 8:24).

57 "Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by."
(John 8:57-59).

"And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." (Exodus 3:14).

Jesus is the great "I AM."
The Jews went ape crazy nuts and wanted to stone Jesus when they heard Him say that He was the great "I AM" from Exodus 3.

Jesus essentially was saying that if you do not believe He is the "I am," you will die in your sins. The word "he" is not in the Greek in John 8:24.

2Tim. 4:6-8
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Paul fought the good fight of faith by submitting himself totally to God.

He took self out to the way for the Holy Spirit to have His will.

God's grace works righteousness (Ephesians 5:25-27).
Grace reigns through righteousness (Romans 5:21).

Skipping back a chapter we learn in 2 Timothy 3:1-9 that in the last days perilous times will come. Men will be lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. They will have a form of godliness, but they will deny the power thereof.

The power I believe that they deny is God helping them to overcome grievous sin in this life.
They do not believe verses like 2 Corinthians 7:1, Galatians 5:24, 1 Peter 4:1-2, etc.

God's grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and that we should live righteously and godly in this present world (See: Titus 2:11-12).

3. The Incarnation (Jesus came into the flesh).

Scriptural Support:

  • John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
  • Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
  • Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Is believing in the Incarnation a salvation issue?

Yes, I believe it is.

1 John 4:2-3 (AKJV) says,

2 "Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

The power they are denying in these last days is the power of the Cross.

It is through the power of the Cross (faith in that which Christ did) that the Holy Spirit works.

The modern church has been corrupted by doing this and doing that and have denied the power through unbelief. They have forgotten the Cross of our Lord, left it behind.

They have made lists of things they deem necessary, when Christ is saying you must come to me as little child.

Jesus made lists of righteous instructions, too. If you are going to condemn Christians for making lists based on Scripture, then by all means, you need to condemn our Lord for making lists, as well.

What am I talking about?

The two greatest commandments is technically a list given to us by Jesus.
The 1st commandment is to Love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.
The 2nd commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.
(See: Matthew 22:36-39).

Lists are things down by numerical sequence or by a pattern.
Jesus also gave us a list that is based on the word "blessed" (Which Christians call the Beattitudes).

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
(Matthew 5:3-11).

I kike the the first 2 on your list. The rest the Lord will take care of by faith, not by our will-power.

Communicate with God through reading His Word, do what you know is right in your conduct according to His Word.

Leave the rest to Him, submitting yourself to His will.

God also made a list called the Ten Commandments. Granted, only 9 out of the 10 are still in effect under the New Covenant (Sabbath excluded), but the point here is that your thinking is not in line with God's thinking. Psalms 119 is the longest Psalm in the book of Psalms. It takes each letter in the Hebrew alphabet and makes a point. This is technically a list of points by using the Hebrew alphabet. Proverbs 6:16-19 is a list of 7 things that God hates. So God is into list making. I have already shown this to you by pointing out how Jesus referred to the 2 greatest commandments (Which is a short list), and the Christian Beattitudes; Yet, you have not admitted that you made a mistake in your thinking here, brother. In either case: I cannot convince you. Only God and His Word can convince of the truth that is within His Word.

Are not 9 of the 10 commandments morals and conduct that I said we should do according to the Word of God. But then, it is not possible to do that by will-power.

We must submit ourselves to Him and let Him carry it out in us.

Just like a little child that totally depends on parents for everything.

That's when He can use you and fulfill all His Word in you, and not until then.

Yes, I agree with this 100%. I do not believe man can obey God without God.
I believe a man has to first submit to God's grace by believing that Jesus died for them, and was buried and was risen 3 days later on their behalf, and that they seek forgiveness over their sins with Jesus and invite the Lord Jesus into their life by way of prayer. God's grace. If they are not changed, and saved by God's grace, then they cannot have the Spirit to obey God and keep the commands given to us in the New Covenant. Without God's grace and forgiveness, they cannot enter the Sanctification Process and live a holy life, and put away sin, and be fruitful for God. For it is not their own fruit or goodness that they do, but it is God who does the good work through them (Philippians 2:13) (John 15:5).

What we do not agree on is that God is into list making and that Sanctification is also a part of the salvation process (after a person is saved by God's grace).

Proverbs 6:16-19 is a list of 7 things that God hates. There are lists of genealogies. There are a list of many things in the order of seven on many things in Revelation. So God is into list making. So if you are still against list making involving Scripture, then you are against God's Word because God's Word has many lists of things within it.

"For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:" (1 Peter 2:21).

Jesus made a list of spiritual points to follow.
So we can follow His example and do the same thing using Scripture or the Bible.

I couldn't agree more with the first paragraph.

The last sentence is what I disagree with.

Sanctification is not part of the salvation process!

The same thing that saved you is what sanctifies, faith. You are using the list to sanctify yourself. That is what God wants to do, let Him make the list.

He is the sanctifier and will do it His way. If our will-power is used the Holy Spirit will sit idle, He can do nothing. But when you submit and say Lord have your way and I will stay out of the way for your will to be done in my life, then the Holy Spirit will take charge and fulfill His Word in your life.

It's the only way!

So of course you will not be able to see the many verses on the Bible that teach how Sanctification plays a part in the salvation process. How can you? You just accepted what your church taught as truth. But if you want to know the truth, and ask God about it, then by all means, I know you hate lists, but here are a list of verses (below) that you need to put on the inside of your heart (So that you might see the whole truth of what God's Word teaches). For...

After we are saved by God's grace,
God’s works (done through us) are also required as a part of the Salvation Process:

(Here are a List of Verses):

#1. “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." (James 2:24).

#2. "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” (James 2:17-18).

#3. "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." (Titus 1:16).

#4. "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing," (1 Timothy 6:3-4).

Supplemental verse:

"...God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." (James 4:6).

#5. "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him." (Hebrews 5:9).

#6. "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).

#7. “...God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:13).

Supplemental verses:

(a) “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:12).

(b) “...and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).

#8. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1).

Supplemental verse:

“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” (Romans 8:13).

#9. "If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema [accursed] Maranatha."(1 Corinthians 16:22).

Supplemental verses:

(a) "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15).

(b) “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10).

#10. ”And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.” (Luke 10:25-28).

#11. “...if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Matthew 19:17-19).

#12. "And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." (Matthew 10:38). ”If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Matthew 16:24-26).

#13. "...No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62) (cf. Luke 8:11-15, 1 Corinthians 4:15).

#14. "But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God." (Romans 2:8-11).

Supplemental verses:

(a) "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls." (James 1:21).

(b) “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” (James 1:12).

(c) "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." (John 3:20).

#15. “And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:29).

#16. ”And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” (Revelation 22:12-15).

#17. “For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.” (Romans 11:21-22).

#18. “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:12-13).

#19. ”Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:34-40).
“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” (Matthew 25:41-46).

#20. ”His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:21).
”And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 25:30).

#21. “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1 John 3:10).

#22. “He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God” (John 8:47).

#23. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7) (cf. 1 John 2:9-11).

#24. “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:20).

#25. “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7:24-27).

#26. “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21).

Supplementary verse:

“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication” (1 Thessalonians 4:3).

#27. “And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet [Jesus], shall be destroyed from among the people.” (Acts of the Apostles 3:23).

#28. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.’ (John 15:5-6).

Supplementary verses:

(a) “Bring forth therefore fruits befitting for repentance” (Matthew 3:8).

(b) “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (Matthew 3:10).

#29. “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” (1 Peter 4:18-19).

#30. “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:8-9).

Paul tells us that "we have been justified and sanctified.

At salvation you are both saved and sanctified. The sanctification Paul is peaking of is your new position in Christ. You are sanctified in your salvation, theologians call it "the position of sanctification."

But you are not what God wants you to be yet, so the process of sanctification begins for your being created into the image of Christ, Christ likeness. Theologians call this "the process of sanctification."

This process is done totally by the Holy Spirit based on your faith in Christ. It requires nothing on your part but submission to His will. Which that person will have in his/her will to please God.

Yes, there is a sanctification or cleansing that takes place in God's grace through faith in Christ. This is true, but there is also another process we have to enter next after being saved by God's grace that does play a part in our salvation (Which is known as the Sanctification Process). You don't have to take my word for it. Just read the verses I have shown you. In other words, it is up to you to look at those verses I put forth to you.

However, ignoring the verses I put forth to you, and or attempting to change them will not be beneficial for you. My guess is that you will most likely do one two things above. Most today do not want to look at the whole counsel of God's Word says in truth. They do not want to see it.

No, my friend you do err in God's process!

It's all done by Him, you are trying to do the work of sanctification in your life, and it can't be done.

You and I have no idea what is needed in us to carry out the process of sanctification.

All of the commandments of Christ will be fulfilled in us by simply submitting to His will and letting Him do it. That's the key, let Him do it!

Again, please carefully re-read my last paragraph to you in post #155.
If you continue to keep pushing your belief despite looking at the verses, then you are simply seeing what you want to see and there is no point in having any kind of discussion.

I have read your scripture, and the theme of those verses are to "obey."

We can't obey by doing it ourselves, by our will-power, it is impossible. He has to do it through our submission, that is how we obey.

The commandments Christ demands that we do, are done by submission allowing Him to carry it our.

I agree this conversation is going nowhere. I will withdraw.

There you go again asserting a false premise in something I do not believe. I told you before that I believe God does the good work through us and we cannot do anything without God.

As for the list of verses you said you read (that I gave you):
Well, reading the verses is one thing. Believing them in what they plainly say is another thing.
You need to put those verses on the inside of you. You need to believe them and memorize them.
Post #153 is a list of 30 verses that makes it clear that we need Sanctification (holy living by God's power and not our own power) as a part of salvation. For example: Faith without works is dead. So this means that works are necessary because a dead faith cannot save anyone.

If by the Spirit, you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live. Rom. 8:13

That is to put to death your deeds of trying to sanctify yourself.

Only by the Spirit can this be done!
