No he claimed to be a Prophet of God and you, in you testimony, claim to know that he is.

The verses you quoted are paralleled in Psalm 82. You are referring to are judges who were hardly Gods as they would "die like men"

What? you have it been paying attention? This argument has already been made numerous times and answered.
And it was answered wrong because the scripture is not about judges. John 10:34-35 does not even mention the word judges.

Of course Jesus did not mention that it was about judges--the point at hand was defending Himself about being God.

Yes and He did not lie, He called them Gods just like He did in Psalm 82 proving that Psalm 82 was NOT about judges.

Now Christ called them Gods?

No wonder I left---- the delusion is huge in Mormonism.

Gee, do you not suppose the Bible translators inserted that simple formula to distinguish between gods and God? In a Bible you do not fully trust anyway?

Then you left for the wrong reason:

34 Ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς , Οὐκ ἔστιν γεγραμμένον ἐν τῷ νόμῳ ὑμῶν ὅτι : Ἐγὼ εἶπα Θεοί
Means Answered them Jesus Not is it written in the law of you I said Gods

35 εἰ ἐκείνους εἶπεν θεοὺς , πρὸς οὓς ὁ λόγος τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐγένετο , καὶ οὐ δύνατα λυθῆναι ἡ γραφή ,
Means If them he called Gods to whom the word of God came and not is able to be broken the scripture

From: John 10:35 Interlinear: if them he did call gods unto whom the word of God came, (and the Writing is not able to be broken,)

The word for judges is entirely different in Greek.

I left for the right reasons.

You cannot get your stories in you beliefs who is God, when at any given point in time.

Let's look at what the Concordance tells us;
John 1:1 "in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God

This is the God [singular] which we get this:

2316 theós (of unknown origin) – properly, God, the Creator and owner of all things (Jn 1:3; Gen 1 - 3).

[Long before the NT was written, 2316 (theós) referred to the supreme being who owns and sustains all things.]
Singular, btw.

Then we have:

2316 [e]
Theoi
Θεοί
gods

Plural

This is from the verse--John 10:35 as to these gods. You see theos is far different than Theoi---they have different meanings. Mainly because the first one is singular the second one is plural.

This is why the Hebrew and the Greeks and all of us can say:

Exodus 20:2
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

I use a Concordance as well--by the way.

You really do not know that Jesus was quoting from Psalm 82.

And no, Jesus did not call them Gods.

I believe in the words of Jesus Christ:

(New Testament | John 10:32 - 39)

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

I am not the one who is confused. Neither Psalm 82 or John 10 is about judges.

I am not the one who is confused. Neither Psalm 82 or John 10 is about judges.
Psalm 82 (NKJV)
82 God stands in the congregation of the mighty;
He judges among the nations
2 How long will you judge unjustly,
show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy;
Free them from the hand of the wicked.

5 They do not know, nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are unstable.

6 I said, you are gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes.”

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth;
For You shall inherit all nations.

It seems you are diverting to much of your attention to your false scripture to not realize it is very much about judges.

Jesus made it very clear that Psalm 82:6 is NOT about judges when He said:

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

The key here is that the scripturas He quoted from Psalm 82, when you look at it--it is about judges. or gods.

6 I said, you are gods,

7 But you shall die like men,

Now one of Mormons Gods are to die like men? Christ died in the flesh but He was God---not one of you false Gods.

Yes and He did not lie, He called them Gods just like He did in Psalm 82 proving that Psalm 82 was NOT about judges.

In LDS theology, there's a difference between God and god.

That capitalized letter? Massive significance.

God is only used to describe Heavenly Father.

god is used to describe an exalted individual and is used in the context of Psalms 82 and the Gospel of John.

Many critics of the church conflate this, and in some instances deliberately so. ---Ironhold

Seems you and you fellow Mormon have to get on the same page here before you take you argument to me.

but it is par for the course--ask another Mormon what he believes and he will generally give you a different answer.

And yet you are willing to bet that millions if in not Billions of Believers are just as confused as you are when you say they are Gods.

"Who do we worship--these Gods or the One True God?"
We worship the Father first because He is our Father:

(New Testament | Matthew 23:9 - 10)

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

There is no capitals in the ancient Hebrew and Greek language, they were put in later by translators of the Bible. It was a guessing game.

Take it up with you fellow Mormon. As for me, I have no time nor patience for such nonsense.
