When you have people like Joe Biden saying hes going to take our Ar-15, why wouldn't we oppose gun registration? Thats the first step in confiscating our rifles.

Can you provide the citation of Joe Biden saying that?

Joe has gone completely off his rocker....Where is his handlers?....

He "shushed" his handler. The woman's voice in the video who tried to end the encounter but Biden just wouldn't let it go. His anger really got the best of him. Do any democratic people here really think he'd be better than Trump?

Its not just about sportsman, its about self defense too. Should i have a less intimidating looking rifle so i dont scare the criminals? You cant have an RPG, or a silencer, so your point is invalid.

The only think intimidating about my pistol is the muzzle flair.

I have no patience with gun extremists myself. I have never heard of any politician, Democrat or Republican, talk about taking away guns.

and now you have, you are welcome.

I hate it personally when gun owners tell me I'm the crazy one because I have never owned a gun or had a gun in my home and never will.

I tell them, "No, I'm the peaceful one."

I don’t think anyone should be judged because they choose not to have a weapon for self defense.

Just like those who do choose to have a weapon for self defense should not be judged by those who do not.

one is no better than the other.

What fear and paranoia? Once again, I'm not talking about silencers, or flame suppressors or RPG launchers, nor do I fear for their use . I'm talking about people who think they need a semi-auto configured to accept those devices even though they will never use them. They want a pretend army gun; it's creepy.

Mind you, I don't agree with banning AR-15s or any other guns. But I certainly can understand why some gun control advocates might consider taking away pretend army guns from Minute Man wanna-bees.
What is creepy about a tricked out gun? Some people like to put unnecessary accessories on their cars too. Everybody needs a hobby.

Yes, I know that argument: "I need my guns to protect myself against the government but if the government knows I have them they'll come and take them away and I won't be able to protect myself against the government." Anybody who believes in that argument is too dimwitted to even be allowed pointy scissors, much less a firearm.

As a hobby, sure. But it's the paranoid wanna-be Minute Man mindset that's creepy.

Thats not my argument, and i hope you don't own a pair of scissors. My argument is that if we stand against gun registration and win, then Joe Biden cant take my rifle and trample my second amendment rights.

So if the British had no idea that there was an arms stash in Concord they would have gone there anyways just for the exercise, right?

I know people who belong to militias, and they are not creepy.
Other's mileage may vary. They seem creepy to a lot of people. Even to people who own guns themselves.
They just believe in the second amendment, sorry you dont.
Nothing about the Second Amendment allows for ownership of guns in secret from the government. Nothing about the notion of an armed free populace requires it.

one is no better than the other.
I read you loud and clear. In your eyes both positions are morally neutral. In my eyes, choosing to live a gun-free life is morally superior. I wake up every day grateful that I live in a home that is statistically safer (look up the stats). I wake up grateful that I choose to settle disagreements with good verbal communication skills. I am grateful to have chosen my friends and close relationships wisely, and grateful to God that I can afford to live in a safe neighborhood and, before retirement, have a safe office job. I exert reasonable caution, as anyone would. I park in well-lighted places after dark. I don't go walking in deserted parks alone at night. I accept that people who work in all-night convenience stores and other dangerous jobs might need to carry guns, but for almost everyone I know I don't get it.

Your ex-husband was never abusive. Yeah, you didn't get along, but you didn't get such a big divorce settlement that he's going to knock you off to get it back. You don't need a gun...if he had a gun when you were living together and he never used it, be grateful. You dodged a bullet. Many women are not that lucky, and I even knew a few of them :(
