I'm not. We already have one that is morally suspect and has his own cognitive challenges, and yet we're still going forward. I'm not even sure we need a president, but that's another thread, I suppose.

Now that Biden seems to be the preferred candidate of the Democratic Party, are you worried about the condition of his mental health? If elected, is his VP going to be the real president?
Now that Biden is the frontrunner the spotlight will be on him and he will have to perform very well under the bright lights. No one with dementia could pass such a test, so be at peace. Reagan's dementia kicked in years after he was elected. They might have seen glimpses of it when running for his second term but he was a very popular incumbent without a real challenger. That election was a cake walk compared to what Biden will have to go through.

Biden running against anyone other than Trump would, probably, be problematic ...

That's what they wish to believe.
Also their thoughts regarding Hillary.
Once again in 2020 to far short.

Trump is going to look stupid in debate, as Biden smirks at him.
No, the reason why Trump is going to win the debates is because Trump will keep his cool, but mess with Biden enough to get into his head. Biden will then get very frustrated and say some stupid stuff, which will make Trump look like he has much better composure.

Biden, au contraire, will be calm, cool, and collected, while Trump will say something absolutely silly, and Joe will bait him even more. And with Bloomberg doing those memes of Donald every 15 seconds for the next eight months, Trump will be an absolute laughing stock by July to the voters.

At least Joe Biden hasn't provided us with an interesting alternate version of American history like the Continental Army took over airports during the Revolutionary War or asked why the collective coin commemorating the 100th Anniversary of women’s suffrage wasn’t done a long time ago. He hasn't boasted about a border wall surrounding San Antonio or said anything about promoting lasting peach in Israel. He hasn't said that he's never understood wind or the noise from wind turbines cause cancer.

I predict that Trump will frequently spout glaring falsehoods and delusions, endearing himself to his base. Meanwhile, Biden will occasionally put his foot in his mouth, somewhat annoying his base, and will do his best to clear up what he really meant afterwards.

Trump will appear confident and professional, if somewhat deranged. Biden will appear calm and knowledgeable, if slightly inept.

After watching this I don't think Biden has what it takes to be a (good) President.
Some pretty nasty remarks made.
True -- he is sometimes lost for words --------
very lost.
M

All of which applies to the Republican candidate as well.

At least he's a good guy ...

I predict that Biden and Trump will say many things that are downright obtuse, obviously wrong, and purposely misleading. Both of them will be tell multiple lies in an attempt to impress his base. Both of them will insist that the other one is uninformed (using various demeaning terms) and insist the other one doesn't know what he's talking about. They will intentionally contradict one another and viciously ridicule each other. The debate will quickly diminish into a battle of the wits, which they will both lose.

Biden is not mentally impaired, not at all. We see pokes at Trump's mental condition across social media, but he is no more a problem that way then is Biden. We should be careful about such comments.

I worry, although I also worry just as much about Trump.

Very depressing that these are the two guys who are going to battle for who is going to be president for the next four years.. lol.
