Yeah, this is the guy who was buying gallons of mineral oil from a local tractor parts shop, pouring it into a tub with a Bible in it and calling it a miracle.

No........ the guy who was buying the mineral oil was named Mr. Jerry Pearce. They are two different people but Jerry Pearce was in the prayer group with Pastor Johnny Taylor.

I've been reading that........ and I am wondering if the way he got this message would make it somewhat different.

I am somewhat unsure of how he got that message????
I have no idea. God does communicate through dreams according to Scripture but that does not mean every dream is a message from God. As immersed as everyone is with politics, it could have just been a dream where he was trying to work something out between politics and faith.

From what I've read in a couple a places they were both promoting the whole thing, together.

In my opinion this is a very logical and accurate explanation of the relationship between President Trump and the Christian churches from 2017 until now.

This was given to Pastor Johnny Taylor in late 2018.
Reading this again, I bet it was a “word of knowledge” message given by somebody else. Those are quite iffy. But is also considered a spiritual gift by some believers.

That is kind of what I am wondering as well.... .and that would mean that maybe it would fit here in this forum???

This thread is being derailed. Has everyone signed the agreement before posting and the sop for this forum?

I just read the SOP, it says
Dreams and visions (and the interpretation of) are not allowed in this forum, but they may be shared and discussed in the Sign Gifts forum. Personal Prophecy (prophetic utterance) will be considered off-topic to all site forums. These may be posted in your own personal blog. The gift of prophecy may be discussed as it pertains to how the gift is exercised or what Scripture says about it, but specific personal prophecies may not be shared in this forum.

So it sounds like this thread got started off on the wrong track

You could be correct...... I have a couple of other discussions going here so I have some idea of how this forum works but it is certainly different from most other CF forums. It seems best for a Moderator to perhaps shift this over to whatever forum it would fit best in...... which might perhaps be Controversial Christian Theology?????

I suppose it would if it is not a dream. Many sects consider this type of thing as a spiritual gift. If you are not comfortable, you can have staff direct it to the other forum.

Maybe you could look through this section to see who the moderators are for it & then send them a PM. Or just send a PM to any staff online & ask them about this. They can help you out or connect you to the right mod to ask. :)

Yes... that is Pastor Johnny Taylor. I heard perhaps five of his sermons as I was researching the Flowing Oil and he impressed me as truly sincere and humble. He and Mr. Jerry Pearce turned down an offer to appear on Sid Roth when they were told that they needed to sell something............ because they were told not to sell anything related to the oil.

Eventually they did appear on Sid Roth along with another guest who had something to offer through the episode.

My impression is these forums are not for debate. If you want it debated, ask it be moved to GT or CCT.

It is not really that I am uncomfortable....... if when the Staff has a look if they think it is OK here... then that is great with me....... but if they think it fits better somewhere else... .then that would be great by me as well. It may be that because this is attracting debate... which may mean that it would not fit here????

Yeah okay, I’m not a fan but I know those who are into this dramatic razzle dazzle stuff. I suppose that’s part of their journey and hopefully, they will move from this phase to the next in a more mature faith. This type of thing can be pretty dangerous imo. Some completely lose their faith over these things. Personal revelation does not mean it applies to all.

Seems to me the dream belongs in the Spiritual Gifts forum. IAC, assuming that it ends up where it belongs...

As far as the dream itself, most of it seems ok. But the business at the end about Trump being killed seems to contradict what Mark Taylor (and I think Kim Clement as well, both years ago) prophesied about Trump going two terms, which I am inclined to believe, though the prophecies do not obviate our faithful labor as a contingency of fulfillment.

If I were to come up with a metaphor, though, it wouldn't be of Trump escaping prison, and presumably running away, which makes no sense to me; it would be of him charging toward and into the prison to set the captives free. (Yes I know that has Messianic overtones, but of course Trump is only a man, flawed as are we all. He is not the Messiah, but he has a role to play.) Because that's where America has been, spiritual prison, and she needs liberation. And while Trump is doing his appointed part in the political realm, it is still up to the church to do its in the spiritual. In that sense, in addition to publicly supporting Trump, we can "stand with him".

Well said!

Yes... the very fact that he is very pro-life as well as such a staunch supporter of Israel I believe that his positions on these two issues could well lure some Christians into becoming politically involved.............. We can think in terms of Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah and the Prophet Daniel for a Biblical Precedent!

Of course all of the Judges of the Bible as well as the righteous kings give us an example as well that we can look to for inspiration in how we approach whether or not and to what degree we get involved.

I believe that the political left has had such a high level of control over the Christian church partly through charity status laws and legislation that is being used to enforce political correctness that I believe that the prison break analogy is brilliant....... and very possibly ...... inspired?!
