According to the following website
Only 16 countries plus Taiwan have had or are currently suspected of having biological weapons programs: Canada, China, Cuba, France, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Libya, North Korea, Russia, South Africa, Syria, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The Biological Threat | NTI

Any of them could wittingly or unwittingly unleash a Pandora's box.

Secondly (from WHO) the Coronavirus is
a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

It includes the common cold and SARS, which started in 2002 and petered out in 2003.

Viruses mutate all the time. A country whose ten largest cities each hold 8 million people or more would be high on the list as the incubator, just as it was for SARS.

Personally I think Dean Koontz just got lucky with his story line.

It is interesting, but people get lucky. Or rather, their stories or predictions are based on reasonable assumptions of the possible future. Just look at all of the "predictions" from The Simpsons that have come to pass, and no one is saying that the writes there are prophets or were able to make some sort of special predictions.

In 1898 Morgan Robertson wrote a book titled "The Wreck of the Titan: Or, Futility" in which he described the sinking of a large ocean liner. In his book the SS Titan, said to be "unsinkable," hit an iceberg on an April night and sank in the North Atlantic. The vessel lacked sufficient lifeboats; most passengers went down with the ship. RMS Titanic, also said to be "unsinkable," hit an iceberg and sank in the North Atlantic in April 1912. She also lacked sufficient lifeboats; over 1,500 people died in the tragedy.

An author who knows his/her field can usually predict with some accuracy what will happen based on current practices and treads.

A couple of months before 9-11 a rap duo COOP released an album with a picture of the twin towers blowing up and one of the guys holding a TNT detonator plunger.

Yeah and not like anyone ever rapped about it before... Oh wait they did!

Biggie Smalls, in "Juicy":
Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucie B, Kid Capri
Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starski
I'm blowin' up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number, same hood
It's all good (It's all good)
And if you don't know, now you know,....

LOL!
You don't get out much, do you Steve?
It's called "Predictive Programming" and P L E N T Y of people are more aware than to see it as "reasonable assumptions".
You probably shouldn't make such definitive assumptions and then state they are fact.

When I posted that this thread was not in the Conspiracy Theories forum and I did not state it as fact, merely my opinion.

I get out plenty, but I don't dabble in the CT forum for a reason. Stating my reasons would be against this sub-forums rules.

dean koontz was probably a freemason just like matt groening and the fellow that wrote the book on the "titanic" sinking as mentioned above.

Its all part of their "plan" and they get the privelege of putting it breadcrumbs out there in the the mainstream

For starters you at least have to juxtapose things like this with all the instances where no such coincidences occurred. Just think of all the novels, TV show stories, etc, that are out there. Now a book from 1981 hits an alarming coincidence, but this novel exists inside a sea of other stories. It’s similar to a lottery number hitting but more deceptive because in this situation we don’t tend to think about all of the “Other lottery tickets that missed.”
