Israeli scientists claim coronavirus vaccine three months away

"There is a high urgency around the world to develop a vaccine for the coronavirus in humans, so we are working to expedite the development process and achieve an effective vaccine for the COVID-19 virus over the next 8-10 weeks and move to safety trials [in humans] within 90 days," said Migal CEO David Zigdon in a press conference.
"The vaccine developed by us for poultry is administered orally and the human vaccine offered by us is also expected to be administered orally."

Zigdon noted that due to the urgent global need for the vaccine, Migal is working around the clock with potential partners to help accelerate the research process in humans needed to complete the final product development and regulatory process

From your ..."article"

Research team develop vaccine for virus in poultry, claim it could be modified for use in humans within 3 months because of similar DNA structure to the one affecting humans

*sigh*
  • The coronavirus has an RNA genome, has no DNA intermediates in it's replication cycle.
  • It doesn't have any "DNA structure"
  • The reverse engineering of an RNA virus into a DNA vector in a laboratory has nothing to do with the virus in infection
  • Getting science news from poorly written and sourced newspapers is a really, really, bad idea.
  • Penultimately, the 8-10 weeks is in addition to, not concurrent with, the 90 days of testing, which means the vaccine, if this is even real, is 130 days away, not 90
  • Finally, I'll give this more credence when I see it published in something not a newspaper from Israel.

Plenty of time for anti-vaxxers to do what anti-vaxxers do & make up myths about vaccines shedding!

Trump has personally fueled anti-vaxxers by tweeting out totally debunked myths about vaccines, diminishing confidence levels in vaccines.

I just want to say obviously not all vaccines are bad but i will share some personal experience. I had a friend i worked with everyday just a normal guy, well i would go to his house once in a while and knew his family. His son was probably 4 years old or so and went to get a normal vaccine, well i have no idea what happened but he got very sick and very reclusive within 24 hours. My friend was totally distraught blaming himself, next time i went to his house sure enough his son wouldnt even come out to see me he was acting autistic. Take it for what you will this is personal experience i have no idea what caused it but thats what happened.

And don't pay any attention to those Jews making vaccines they only have more nobel prize winners than any other nationality what would they know about intelligence based research anyway.

Hey, if it's good enough for chickens ... what's the problem?

You aren't a chicken, or you are the most intelligent chicken I have ever seen - which, ironically, would be another reason why I would say you shouldn't take it.

I tend to ignore predictions. Sooth saying and science do not seem to me to go together. If everything goes as hoped perhaps this scientist will be correct but how many times do things go as hoped.

A vaccine rushed through to completion in such a time frame should have everyone a bit skeptical.

Well yeah. Trump isn't going to acknowledge that. He tweeted out that a vaccine was coming out soon, the White House had to clean up after him to say he meant the ebola vaccine. He didn't even bother to spell coronavirus correctly in another loony tweet.

This is the dude who railed against vaccinations, takes pride in having this anti-science stance & is now hitching his horse to a rapid mass-vaccination program that doesn't exist yet. Look at how much misinformation is constantly spread around about the vaccines that have been out for generations, have a high rate of efficacy & low risk rate. Israel had one of the worst measles outbreak in the world, fueled by ignorant anti-vaxxers spreading their ignorance around like a virus. They have the vaccine, ppl just refused it. Then NY had an awful measles outbreak bc ppl traveled from Israel to NY & imported it. On here this anti-vaxxer literally recruited anti-vaxxers to join this forum bc she wanted her pride to get a boost & have them post misinformation about the measles vaccine "shedding" to back up her posts. You cannot try to reason w somebody like that, you just cannot. That's the level they are one, willing to do whatever they can to feel right no matter how wrong they actually are. The same will totally happen with the coronavirus, whenever it does actually come out.

The man holds whatever beliefs are convenient at the moment he needs them to be true.

His precious stock market is at risk, he needs people to stop panicking so he can get elected again, so of course he'll now accept the help of the scientific community he routinely bashed to get crazy people to vote for him.

It seems like you want everyone to be force vaccinated. my only question is if you have the vaccine why in the world would you be scared of anyone that doesnt??? I dont see how that makes any sense.

Don't know what Cimorene thinks but I certainly want that.

my only question is if you have the vaccine why in the world would you be scared of anyone that doesnt??? I dont see how that makes any sense.

Because unlike the entirely pathologically selfish and irresponsible antivaxxer like yourself, I actually care about my community. I care about the children and the immuno-compromised who are either too young or too ill to actually get vaccinated. I care that when herd immunity kicks in, the vulnerable in my community are protected.

I have, because of work in pediatric hospitals. also seen children's wards during a whooping cough outbreak. Anti vaxxers should be thrown out of all civilized countries and left on an island to their own devices. They do not deserve societal membership.

Hope that clears things up.
