Sart attending church, develop a habit of prayer, read the Scriptures. If you are worried that somehow God can't accept you because you were part of this group, don't worry that's not who God is. No matter what we've done, where we've been, or who we are the God who meets us in Jesus Christ is the God of love, grace, forgiveness, and salvation. If God can save murderers, He is more than capable of saving you--and He has, through the life, death, and resurrection of His own Son, which was for you.
As you hear the Gospel being preached to you you will grow in your faith, and you'll hear time and again about the truth of God, about who He is. And it will transform you as a daughter of the Almighty, it will transform you because it will create and sustain faith in you. You will stumble, you will have difficulties, you will falter, fumble, and sin--but the God who is yours in Christ will never leave you nor forsake you. That's His promise to you.

Indeed so. I mean, lets just consider the holy Apostle Paul. Before his life-changing encounter with Christ on the road to Damascus, Saul, as he was then known, was chiefly in the business of persecuting Christians. We are talking about violent persecution of the kind that involved killing people, which happens in Communist and Islamist dicatorships and also in the Fascist regimes of the 20th century. But Paul was utterly redeemed, transformed and became a vital means by which the Christian faith was introduced into the Greco-Roman world.
Evil is destroyed and death is swallowed up in victory by the triumph of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
Christ is in our midst!
