Well, what she did is considered assault and teachers are seeing more and more of this now days.

One teacher that I know very well was assaulted by a student causing to her great bodily harm. She has had neck operations and her back is in terrible shape and she will be crippled for the rest of her life.

I'm sure that the little girl was turned over to her parents -- no real harm done to her. Will she learn a lesson? Only if her parents do their part. Which usually is not seen these days.

Every child in detention asks to be released. One of our daughters works in County Juvenile detention at the desk.

I'll bet she won't do that again.

Yes, that's true. One 11 year old boy in Australia has been released on bail 10 times. His crimes are robbery with a weapon, including knives and a screwdriver. There are child gangs breaking into homes, stealing cars, assaulting people. How do we deal with kids who have such contempt for authority, people's property and safety?

I'm American. Ralph Northam is my governor. And then there's Hillary "I'll suicide you if you disrupt my drug/child trafficking scheme" Clinton.

The schools exist primarily to indoctrinate children with the ideology of the Reich and to instill servile bootlicking. My thesis for my psychology degree claimed that the school shooter is a natural reaction to the environment placed on the child and the shooter is an inherent, designed outcome of the system.

Don't forget the public school system in America is totally messed up. There have been kids that were Boy Scouts who have stayed away from trouble, Honor Students, and even Model Students, even if they were not Boy Scouts, who have been suspended and sometimes even ARRESTED for stupid things like unknowingly bring a pocketknife or a butter knife to school.
Arresting the 6 year old is not the answer. He'll be traumatized and have an ARREST RECORD to explain when he applies for a job, internship, or college. Instead he should have been spanked and have a detention he would never forget or be suspended for a day. But not every case needs to have police involvement.
At the same time, our schools should be kept safe have effective, direct, and necessary discipline for kids like that 6 year old.
Instead, since public schools became religiously neutral, the morality teaching on our children goes neutral and little touched as well. But later, when something like Columbine or Parkland happens, we resort to ineffective, overreaching "zero-tolerance" policies in schools in a frivolous attempt to keep our religiously neutral and un-grounded schools safe. These policies get advertised by politicians wanting to get "tough on crime" and demonize those who see big faults with this philosophy by calling them "ninnies", "sissies", "liberals (even if the opposer is NOT liberal)", or "soft-on-crime."

Long term therapy is the only solution I can imagine to compensate for a lack of mature responsible adults as they are growing up. But I don't know of any such programs.

The system was set up to place kids into servile factory or industrial work settings. So your analysis is close to the mark.

That post is from 2008 , from some obscure source and first comment is

" made up by one of the german tabloids. Fact is, that there is a programme for "difficult" youngsters with courses abroad, e.g. in sibiria. Thats not a bootcamp at all, neither is he "sent there", the participation is voluntary and has to be choosen by the participiant as well as his parents."

While packing all the trouble makers and why not regular prisoners to Siberia is a nice thought there are plenty of reasons why this does not happen.

Yes, I remember when it first appeared in the news, as I said. It wasn’t a single incident, problem kids were sent to other countries also sometimes. To me it seemed like a good idea, having to engage in something physically challenging that requires discipline can be hugely beneficial for adolescent boys.

Yeah, though bit slippery slope.

Prisoners to Siberia since it is cheaper and Russkies know how to keep the discipline.

Unemployed people ? Why the heck keep em around if they do not want to work , lets transfer them somewhere out of the way and cheaper if they want the hand outs.

etc.
