Now you're equivocating. You're calling it a failure IN the system instead of a failed system.

Call it both. You should address the points now. I note your evasion.

I’m attacking socialism because it’s unbiblical. There’s nothing in scripture about the government being involved in the distribution of wealth.
There's nothing in the Bible about the government being involved in homosexuals getting married either, so I suppose you're all for legal gay marriage. Or do your standards suddenly change with that one?

I’m discussing socialism. I’m not sure why you want to change the subject.

So a system is a failure when it doesn't work 100% perfectly all of the time? So you admit that capitalism is a failure, right?
Socialism will only work in a totally righteous and fair government leadership...

We're not even close... Socialism has been proven time and time again to fail under the rule of mere men..
Corruption soon overtakes it and then the very few have all the money and the rest will be lining up for a slice of stale bread....

Sorry....yeah can't wait till we
They believed in owning property? Only collectively, not as their own. Not as "one saw fit" but rather as a group - no one claimed that any of their possessions was their own:

Acts 2:32

32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

It's OK if you don't want to like socialism but don't attack me by saying "it's unbiblical" when that's not true at all.

:D well thats taking a verse to a whole knew level. Christ is the corner stone here. Yet with socialism..is on sinking sand where GOD is not part of it at all. Its never worked. All this is mute. Bernie's agenda will cost way over 60tril. And Bernie's going to what...share everything he has as if its not his own? Hmm how did Bernie get rich? Yeah..

I'd never vote for him but its nice to see him going strong. Its Like.. GO BERNIE! Crowd around him ask "anyone tell him Trump won already?"

For the record.. I am by far NO expert on Soc/Cap *ism.

Sanders eviscerates the conventional wisdom about why he can't win

You can't stop it, you might as well hop on and enjoy the ride! Centrist Democrats and the Democratic Party Establishment (i.e. DINO's) are quaking in their patent leather shoes, Pete is breaking down, Amy is unhinged, and Joe is thinking "so you're saying there's a chance!!!"...

The Revolution is on, Sanders is cruising!

Feel the Bern! Bernie 2020

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!

Bernie just "Berned" himself by making comments like these:

Bernie Sanders defends Fidel Castro's socialist Cuba: 'Unfair to simply say everything is bad'

I guess he think's he's a sure shot at winning the White House and is going ahead with exposing his real plans.

It's weird how he carries water for Castro, the USSR and Venezuela. I just don't get it. I think socialism is the political analogue to flat-earthism. You should no more vote a socialist into the presidency than you would let a flat earther run NASA.

Hmm. I was talking about socialism. You brought up homosexuals.
After you brought up the government and whether they should legislate things that are in the Bible.

No, he didn't "bern" himself. He said nothing wrong. Folks like you and the ones at FOX News who wrote that article just look for anything you can try to twist to slander someone.

Why don't you do the right thing and support Bernie in this election? You can't stop it, might as well join it.

He doesn't "[carry] water for Castro, USSR [sic] and Venezuela", that's nothing more than a smear. He's a Democratic Socialist, not "a socialist". There's a difference. He is like FDR or LBJ - were they "socialists"?

Till you what?

:D well thats taking a verse to a whole knew level.
You mean "new".

Christ is the corner stone here. Yet with socialism..is on sinking sand where GOD is not part of it at all. Its never worked.
Nothing "works" without God being followed to a T. That includes capitalism or socialism or anything else. And in our world, nothing is done with God being followed to a T, so all systems fail. It's just a matter of which system can mitigate the harm and promote the most good. Even where Christ is the cornerstone, men (even Christians) are imperfect sinners who will make mistakes and cause systems to fail.

So I don't know what your point here is in singling out socialism when what you said is true for EVERYTHING.

All this is mute.
You mean "moot". No, it is not moot because we still have to live in this imperfect world and use systems that will be imperfect. The best we can do is adopt what works best for us and realize it's irrational to expect perfection.

Bernie's agenda will cost way over 60tril. And Bernie's going to what...share everything he has as if its not his own? Hmm how did Bernie get rich? Yeah..
Bernie has explained how much it will cost and how we will pay for it. Fact is that it will be much cheaper than the overpriced middlemen called "health insurance" that we have today. I don't know if you understand how things work, but when there is a middleman they take a cut of the money. In the case of health insurance, private insurers are completely unnecessary and have bloated administrative costs. There is no competition, they set prices with each other and offer identical products.

As for Bernie sharing everything he owns, I don't know where you got that idea or what that has to do with this conversation. Do you think Trump is going to give away a million dollars each to you and your friends? (See, I can bring up irrelevant nonsense also)

I'd never vote for him but its nice to see him going strong. Its Like.. GO BERNIE! Crowd around him ask "anyone tell him Trump won already?"
Trump won in 2016, but Bernie will beat him this year. It's like...KING TRUMP! Crowd "anyone tell Donny Bernie's got him beat this year?"

For the record.. I am by far NO expert on Soc/Cap *ism.
I figured that out pretty quickly.

He's a Democratic Socialist, not "a socialist".

....so... he is a socialist according to you. You even use the very term. I'm not sure why you think attaching "Democratic" as an adjective to the noun "socialist" somehow means the noun loses it's meaning in a sentence.

He is like FDR or LBJ - were they "socialists"?

Do you think LBJ or FDR were apologists for Stalin or Castro's methods? I mean, if you produce evidence that FDR or LBJ carried water for Castro or Stalin or promoted their propaganda or self-identified as socialists, I'll be happy to point out the same problem with them as well if it makes you feel better. This thread isn't really about FDR or LBJ, but if it helps you...

And Trump didn't actually win. He lost by 3 million votes. The only reason we are stuck with him now is the undemocratic electoral college.
Good replies Armenian John.
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, we already have socialism in this country, but it is socialism for the rich...tax breaks, corporate welfare bailouts...so we have socialism for the rich, but rugged individualism for the poor.
It is antihetical(sp?) to everything the Bible teaches about loving each other, fairness, justice, etc.
