They were punished for 'falsifying' the commandments. There's a lesson there.
There are 2-

1. Right-wing Christians will eagerly concoct phony excuses for the horrific acts of their deity
2. Right-wing Christians approve of thuggery and inhumanity in the name of their middle eastern religion

Hosea 13:
16 Samaria shall bear her guilt; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

You wrote, re: the above:
"They were punished for 'falsifying' the commandments."

Yes, those infants and fetuses 'falsified the commandments' and had to be slaughtered.

Tell me - do you people ever actually think about the things you write?
Or is everything pretty much knee-jerk absurd nonsense?

Are you trying to say that your post is just as good as #381 because you didn't use jargon?
No, I am pointing out the naivete and silliness of implicitly whining about 'science jargon' in a supposed science discussion.
However, when I asked what is the probability that millions of life would turn out so well without a Creator, your answer was a definitive 1.0 . That is the most moronic and stoopid assertion, it is clearly a dumb answer, demonstrating zero intelligene and lacking even the simplest logical evaluation.
Thanks for the high praise!

Weird though - other than writing that it is 'stoopid' and 'dumb' and 'demonstrating zero intelligene[sic]', you cannot say why.

And now you want to compare your rubbish to a good presentation by someone else. If that answer is a distinction, yours is less than 0
I didn't compare anything, you did.
And in post #411 you don't have to try to unsay the shallow stuff you said, which is extinction of some creatures means imperfection in God's creation. It's certainly shallow, yes, but at least doesn't sound as dumb as your 1.0 probability answer.

You must be so smart - weird then that I have not seen you present anything other than assertions and god-fluff.

I'm guessing that this is because all you can muster is dopey religious rhetoric and paraphrased lame creationist claims you've borrowed from the internet.

But thanks for ego boost!

You know what this tells us? That the writers of the Bible did not understand the concept of evidence either (another possibility is that the translators screwed up).

The translators could have done a better job in some instances, imo.

Why? Are you saying that creationists are inherently dishonest? You may be right.

I was saying that you have to tempt them away from their beliefs. Scientific explanations won't cut it. I didn't say it would work however.

The effect is the same.

So you also hate the sojourner?
Are cool with not feeding the poor?
Think that the continued reliance on the failed policy of 'trickle down' is a winner?
Think opening up national parks to mining and oil exploration (with ZERO benefit to taxpayers) is dandy?
You're cool with his policy of punishing his "enemies" and rewarding his criminal pals is cool?

And what about his serial adultery and P^$$% grabbing?

Typical.

Are you a paranoid troll?

Well, you got a few things right.

The above narrative is a biblical account of a slaughter at the hands of the Assyrians. It's thought that they migrated into Europe and did the same thing to the Jews and others during WW2. They were an exceptionally cruel people, as the narrative reveals.

It's part of the history of Israel. Lot's of horrific things happened to them.

Ray Comfort, Ken Ham, Kent Hovind, William Craig Lane and Dinesh D'Souza killed that hope very thouroughly.

And yet polls that depend on honesty are conducted all the time, and are taken seriously. They even appear on these forums.

No serious person makes that claims. And luckily for Christians those verses now appear to be part of the mythical part of the Bible. That ordered genocide never happened. Again studying the history of Israel can be very enlightening. One can still be a Christian and not read the immoral parts of the Bible literally.

Now you are back to claiming that creationists cannot be honest.

No. I'm saying that you must use the devils tactics, appealing to their vanity, not their intellect, if you want to have any chance. Happily for you many Christians believe in evolution. In fact I think most do.

Such slaughters still occur. Today we use bombs to blow children into little pieces.
Given the way war has been conducted throughout history such stories are quite believable.

They need to be taken with a grain of salt and when somebody continually lies, such as the parties already mentioned then they lose all credibility.

Now let's not make false claims about Satan. If you read the Bible he tends to be honest.

And yes, most Christians accept reality.

Did you not understand that story? The supposed good guys were actually the bad guys and it portrays God as being very evil. Historians are very sure that story never happened at all so that should make you feel a bit better. The Hebrews did not have the bloody history of the Bible.

Evil as applied to God is a mistranslation. Calamity is a better word: God brings calamity upon those who...

Taken as a whole one's reality is mostly subjective. Myself excepted of course as I'm very objective minded. :D
