Conservative = Republican. Everyone I have seen identify as a conservative only supports Republcans on everything and their agendas.

A true conservative runs more toward libertarian than modern neo-cons, but most are still willing to work with Republicans as a group and make compromises.

Especially now when so much is on the line.

One thing that drives me nuts about conservatives is they single out one issue and call Democrats killers, completely ignoring the fact that Republicans are more in favor of murder by refusing to pass gun control laws even in the aftermath of mass shootings (see Batman and Sandy Hook).

"Gun control" won't solve your crime.

Just owning a gun doesn't make someone capable of using it to kill another human being.

And criminals by definition don't follow the law.

So taking a person's potential means of food and self defense does nothing but make someone unable to defend themselves against criminals and unable to feed themselves and their families.

The only people who love that are tyrannical governments and criminals.

Republicans hate background checks that ensure bad guys will not use them to kill other people. They are unwilling to support legislation that would guarantee anyone who committed a crime with a gun would be barred from buying one.

No. They don't "hate" background checks... now your just making stuff up. I don't know any republican that is against keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.

As a beside, just because someone is charged with a crime doesn't mean they are guilty. And all felons in this country are permanently barred from ever owning a firearm again.

I don't know anyone who would support minor crimes like getting a speeding ticket or having a bounced check causing a bar to owning a firearm though.. that would be silly and pointless.

Barack Obama told everyone during his State of the Union address after two mass shootings to vote for a gun control law. Republicans decided not to do it.

Because it did nothing to remove guns from criminals - only from law abiding people who've never done any wrong.

If you want guns out of the hands of criminals begin by enforcing existing law... it's actually pretty good and quite thorough.. all we need to do is effectively enforce it.

Hence, why we support our law enforcement so heavily and believe they should be supported and assisted by elected representatives; not have their hands tied.

He's campaigning for the gay vote.

He pandered for the LGBT vote in 2016, but he has stabbed the LGBT community in the back since he was elected. I seriously doubt he cares about the LGBT he's trying to impress any more than he cares about evangelical conservative Christians he panders to now. He's a cunning man and he knows how to manipulate people. He'll say whatever he thinks will impress and entice the voters he's targeting.

I'd have to go through each accusation made, but what your thinking here might not be the anti-lgbt stance you claim.

Such as the case Altitude Express v. Zarda - does the LGBT crowd really want these things going in front of lower courts forever because instead of law written by congress, your stretching definitions and trying to get courts to legislate...

What's wrong with forcing the case into the supreme court for a blanket ruling and if it fails, then take it to congress for a more sure law?

Something Trump ran on was trying to get congress to make actual laws, instead of ending up with courts legislating from the bench constantly.

I would think a push in the direction of actual law would be preferable to having case after case go in front of lower courts all the time. It might be a more sure way forward that everyone can agree on, understand and follow.

Yeah, that's because they did not vote on any gun control bills. If you want to complain about a bill failing to control who buys and loses guns, get your facts straight.

So explain to me why we still have a lot of gun crimes, including mass shootings. If existing laws were all we need, almost nobody would be murdered by a bullet.

Yes. Just know that any of you that support Trump for whatever reason considering the alternatives... you are a bigot.

Thats like me saying whatever Democrat is the poster child for murderers.
Well, abortion is bigotry, and lethal intolerance. It's kind of amusing when they call Trump supporters bigots.

Why do you think I said they should?

Why would you think that you know what I think? Of what I think; you only know what I tell you.

You have a difficult enough time processing what I actually tell you; let alone what I think.

I didn't purport that you said that "Christians should promote homosexuality."

I asked you, "Why would a Christian want to promote homosexuality?

Considering that you said this:

The official Democratic platform includes LGBT rights.

...and we're in a Christian forum; that would seem like a pertinent question to me. Do you know of any Christians who actually subscribe to the Democratic Platform?

Fortunately we cant take away the peoples second amendment rights, or their right to self defense. Its not going to happen.

Supproting LGBT rights is accepting and tolerativing them. It is understanding sexual discrimination is not just about women at work, but also things like firing a lesbian who did everything right.
