To the Body of Christ
We recently posted notice that the oil from the Bible has paused flowing, and that as a result, the team was ceasing meetings on Tuesdays at the Wink and taking time to pray and seek God about future ministry.
Since the last meeting on February 11, the Times Free Press newspaper has published an article which calls into question the integrity of the miracle of flowing oil. It contains an allegation that Jerry Pearce whose Bible it is “often bought large amounts of mineral oil.” It also says that the newspaper had a vial of oil tested and that “the tests found Pearce’s oil is petroleum-derived and the results “strongly suggest that the oil sample is mineral oil.”
The conclusion the writer is inviting people to reach is that the oil that has been distributed over time is not of supernatural origin, but rather, is being supplied from the purchased oil. Jerry states that he has, in fact, bought mineral oil from Tractor Supply, but has at no time added it to the vials being distributed at meetings, or to the container holding the Bible. The purchase was made without the knowledge or approval of anyone else in the ministry and we are seeking the full truth of these accusations.
Jerry acknowledges that the credibility of the miracle is in question based on the information disclosed in the article. He has expressed remorse for having caused the integrity of the work of God to be questioned because of his action.
For those who have received miracles of healing and restoration in their own life, or among their circle of friends, we urge you to trust Father God for the validity of those answers to the prayer of faith.
We should take to heart the words from James 5:12-16
12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment. 13 Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
It is the prayer of faith (verse 15 literally says, prayer “of” faith), not the oil itself, that restores the sick. Anointing with oil in the name of God is a biblical practice. The oil is used in recognition of His presence, but it is faith expressed in His provision for miracles that heals. The pause in the production of oil from the Bible is not a reason to cease praying the prayer of faith for any who need God’s touch.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Bible has not produced any oil since January 10th of this new year. The flow has paused before, even for a week or so, and is not always consistent, but at this point it has been almost a month and has not restarted. After today, February 4, 2020, we will not be able to distribute oil. If the oil resumes its flow, we will resume distribution.
From the very beginning of this sign and wonder we have always considered that God started it, and He can stop it anytime according to His timing and will. If the oil does not begin to flow again, we in no way grieve.
As we have expressed continually, this is not “magic oil”. This oil is a point of contact that has helped activate believers in their priesthood. The oil has been a faith builder, and a clear conduit for people to experience a touch from God. We have always said this is about Jesus!
This coming Tuesday, February 11, 2020, will be the final gathering at the Wink Theater. We are taking a short break from the prayer meetings to rest, pray and seek the Lord as to which direction we feel He is leading us at this time. God has shown Himself mighty at these gatherings. We rejoice at the countless miraculous testimonies that have been shared each and every Tuesday.

THE OIL IS IN US
Many people feel like there is no hope for healing unless they can obtain a vial of oil. In all of our meetings we have continually taught that this is not “magic oil”. The oil is a sign, and the Lord has used it to awaken callings and get His children moving and activated in their priesthood as believers. What we have witnessed is when people have the vial of oil in their hands boldness has increased. Many who would have hesitated to pray for others have had the courage to move by the unction of the Holy Spirit and operate in their priesthood by laying on of hands and praying for God’s people who need a touch from Him. The result has been uncounted miraculous healings, salvations, deliverances, and much more.
It is so important to understand this…..the Lord has sent the oil, and it is wonderful, and we are so grateful for it. It is a point of contact, similar to Acts 19:11-12 where the Bible describes that “God was performing extraordinary miracles by Paul’s hands, so that even facecloths or aprons that had touched his skin were brought to the sick, and the diseases left them, and the evil spirits came out of them.” This is the scripture where the church tradition of anointed prayer cloths has come from.
Before the oil flowing from the Bible came, God was healing. God has been healing His children for 2000 years. Jesus healed all who came to Him for healing (Matthew 12:15, Luke 6:19 and more). Further, the disciples carried out the healing ministry of Jesus (Matthew 10:1, Luke 9:1). Then, when Jesus ascended, He promised to send the Holy Spirit to LIVE IN US. We are told to continue the ministry of healing that Jesus and the disciples carried (Luke 9:2, Matthew 10:8, Luke 10:9 and more).
There are many scriptures that describe oil as a symbol of Holy Spirit. The very word “anoint” means to smear with oil. Now, we are the temple of God, Holy Spirit living in us. Thus, THE OIL IS IN US! (I Corinthians 6:19, II Corinthians 6:16, Ephesians 2:20, I Peter 2:4-5).
Therefore, even without the “point of contact” oil, we pray that your understanding of who you are in Christ grows, your faith grows, and that you can confidently operate in your priesthood, praying the prayer of faith, for physical healing or whatever the need is, knowing God (Holy Spirit…Oil) lives in you!
