IMO the temple will be built, it's scriptural and the proof is that there must be a place for the abomination that makes desolate.

This happens in the holy of holy's.

So, the temple will be built. Will it be built before or after a pre trib rapture?.. is the rapture pre trib? Will it be built before? Who knows... but it WILL be built

They now believe, and I agree, that it will not be on the temple mount. The Dome on the Rock was built in the wrong spot... but by good intention of blocking the temple to come.

The place of David's temple was south of the Dome on the Rock. In a place called the "City of David" which has recently been discovered as the original site.

The "wailing wall" is NOT part of the original temple. Remember, Jesus said that not one stone would be left on top of the other.

The old temple was taken down, and now, it is believed, and I agree, that the stones from the temple were used to help build the Colosseum, in Rome.

Would that not fit with Satan's usual " modus of operandi? To take the structure used to worship and honor our Creator and God.. and use it to torture and kill, by sport, the Christians?

Anyway, The temple will be built. They have all the religious artifacts and implements to start the religious ceremonies again. It is also believed that they are in possession of the ark of the covenant now as well.

However, pushing to build something never works.

God is in full control. It will be built in His time..

Still, we are to look for His coming and pray for it's hastening..

SO...........Maranatha... Come Lord Jesus.

Friends,

I get the impression that many believers support the building of the Third Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.

Maybe they think this hastens the second coming?

As our bodies are now His temple for the Presence of God, why rebuild what He desecrated and destroyed?

Folks anxiously wait for the sacrifices to begin again yet the One Sacrifice has been made.

Jesus in His day, described the Jewish place of worship as the Synagog of Satan in Rev 3:9 - do we want a repeat of this???

What is going on?
No Christian should support this, in large part because God destroyed the temple for a reason. As for any construction of a temple by the jews, it's a waste of time and money for them to do so. If they build it they will be missing one key element: God. He left the temple, he no longer dwells there and will not dwell in anything the jews might call a temple. Scripture is abundantly clear, the curtain was ripped in half.

I've got my own thoughts on the OP, but I would like to respond to the above quote as it's something I've studied quite a bit recently.
Rev. 3:9 refers to a group of Jews who are chastised due to lies about their Jewishness or behaviour as Jews. It mentions these Jews being brought before the church in
Philadelphia as a shaming/ punishment from God.
This group are basically wicked people masquerading as Jews just as in the letter to the church of
Ephesus chastises "those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false".
That's why I think it's important to be careful and cautious using the 'Synagogue of Satan' verse, as it's badly misused and abused.
Your post almost sounds like you mean every Jewish place of worship refers to that verse.
It's interesting that throughout the letters to the churches, each one addresses the failings, weaknesses and luke-warm nature of each of the churches. Although it's not all bad.

As Christians it is none of our business.
Do you think Matthew 28:18-20 applies?
Aside from that, the more we meddle in the Mideast the worse we make things.
??? Christians make things worse? Do please explain that? Maybe use the Bible instead of the daily newscast.

Doesn't matter if we are for it or against it. It's part of what must happen for Gods plan to come full circle, that being, "all Israel will be saved."
Would you please show me where the Bible states there will be another temple built? If not in the Bible then please explain how another temple is "part of what must happen" for all Israel to be saved. Tx

Many Christians believe that the rebuilding of the physical temple is prophesied by Amos and Isaiah. Personally, I think the third and last temple is the Body of Christ, the "living stones".
Yep. This is stated clearly, plainly, explicitly in 1 Corinthians 3:16.

"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (KJV)

"Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (NAS)

"Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?" (ESV)

"Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst?" (NIV)

"Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple, and the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (BLB)

John 2:19-21
"Jesus answered them, 'Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.' The Jews then said, 'It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?' But he was speaking of the temple of his body. So when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken."

Pretty sure they meant what they said. The disciples believed it; so should we.

The second coming won’t happen until the abomination of desolation has taken place. So we eagerly await the fulfillment of the prophecies so that we can finally go home.

Would you mind citing the specific "outstanding prophesy or two" the building of another man-made temple of stone would fulfill? Thx.

A few clips from a few web sites.

Isaiah, one of the most important of the Bible’s Old Testament prophets, had this to say: “In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains. . . .

“Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the temple of the God of Jacob’ ” (Isaiah 2:2, 3).

Amos, an Old Testament prophet, said: “In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter—I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins—and will rebuild it as it used to be” (Amos 9:11).

Daniel 9:72.

The scripture reads: “And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

The 3.5 weeks/years Section of the Book of Revelation (6-11)seems to be a take of on this, unless you are some kind of Preterist and believe that all or most Prophecy has all ready been fulfilled literally or allegorically (which is a position that has its own problems).

2Thes. 2:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Who is this person and what temple is this?

Applies to what? It has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

I wasn't referring to Christians specifically but to outside governments meddling in the religion and politics of the Mideast.

Not interested in websites or videos. What does the Bible state?
Isaiah, one of the most important of the Bible’s Old Testament prophets, had this to say: “In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains. . . .

“Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the temple of the God of Jacob’ ” (Isaiah 2:2, 3).
Yep. And according to Jesus, He is that temple; he and the body of believers in his resurrection. Isaiah's prophesies are fulfilled.
Amos, an Old Testament prophet, said: “In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter—I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins—and will rebuild it as it used to be” (Amos 9:11).
Yes, and James quotes Amos in Acts 15 reporting the Amos prophesies were coming to fulfillment in the first century.

Yes, and Jesus spoke quite bluntly to the Pharisees in Matthew 23 and declared to them in no uncertain terms their house was left to them desolate.

I asked you something very specific and you totally ignored it. I've addressed what I received even though it did not in any way shape or form answer the question asked. None of those verses say anything about a third temple. Will you now answer that question?

Would you mind citing the specific "outstanding prophesy or two" stating the building of another man-made temple of stone is yet to be fulfilled?

Nothing else is asked of you.

You are mistaken. You stated the concerns of the op "is none of our business" as Christians. That's what you posted, Jack. Jesus says the entire world is our business; we are supposed to be making disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them Christ's commands.

You are simply wrong here. And not just factually wrong, but disobediently-to-scripture wrong.
I wasn't referring to Christians specifically but to outside governments meddling in the religion and politics of the Mideast.
Ah.... then it is your post that has nothing to with the topic of this thread. The op doesn't mention "government" once. Instead, it explicitly and specifically couches its comment and inquiry in "many believers," and the premise we are God's temple. The op has nothing to do with governments.
