Are any of you tea lovers never in the mood to drink water? I have such a hard time drinking just plain water, but my Dr. is telling me I have to drink 2 Qts of it a day!

I wondered, because I heard the need for having that much water by itself is generally overstated. It would be the case when sweaty and not having things being eaten that are juicy foods. But when at rest and not sweating, and with having juicy foods, it is not necessary to have the same amount of water separately as it would be otherwise. Tea would hydrate, as would soups, wet cereal, and fruits. Maybe the doctor in this case knew about a distinct issue to have more water separately, though.

just noticed this group i have boxes of tea in my cupboard all kinds also like coffee but am more of a tea person

It was a transition for me when I began to use green tea instead, I still missed coffee, and others were still drinking coffee, which I saw. But I stuck with it, flavoring it up as I do, and I like it more without missing coffee as much.

Sometime over a year ago I switched from coffee to green tea. I now have jasmine green tea, and enjoy it with ginger, cinnamon, and agave in it, and usually having a little bit from a Complete Cookie along with it.

I just tried the tea now with using nutmeg in it, for my well-being, it was only a tiny amount, less than other flavoring I used, but I could still definitely taste it. It is alright, but I think I will get oatmeal, and maybe other things, to use nutmeg in those instead. The other flavorings will still be in my green tea, and I will get benefits from those.

I used to drink a lot of coffee but am glad to have ditched it in favour of tea...:)

I wasn't thinking of it, but I should say I found it important to me to limit caffeine intake and have just one drink (my mug is slightly more than one cup, so I shouldn't say cup that would suggest the measurement of one cup), either of coffee when I had it, or green tea when I switched and wanted a bit less caffeine and green tea is a healthy choice. But more is significantly more caffeine. And it is the case that caffeine contributes to dehydration, you might drink more, but then you need to pee more than you would otherwise, so you do need things to hydrate with more, with that much more.

I didn't have a way to measure what the mug holds, as I don't have measuring cups on hand, but it is a usual mug, not one of the large ones, and I am sure it would not be a pint (two cups), it seems to me it is more than one measuring cup.

This mug was knocked over the other day, and the handle broke off. I saw I could glue that back on, and I got some superglue at the store (they did not have mugs there that I could get another one then), and brought it back to fix the mug. I then found the handle I would glue back was not the whole part, there were a couple of smaller fragments that would be needed for the handle to reach around, they were still left on the floor. So I glued all the parts. I just used this mug for the first time with a hot tea after doing that, and I was concerned about how it would hold with the heat from that. I carefully brought it to where I would drink from it, with having a bit of my Complete Cookie, with holding it with more support than just the handle. I still hope the handle will be strong enough for being held with even the hot tea. I will go buy another mug when I have the next opportunity to look for one, as this is now the only thing I use for drinking hot tea. Cups I have will not be good for a hot drink. And I have my hot tea at the coolest time, this early, before sunup, where I am.

I love tea and have a variety but my favourite is good old black tea.
My everyday one is "Yorkshire Tea" brand, labelled Proper strong.
I also like Twinings Assam another strong tea.
I sometimes have iced tea with the teabag blend of strawberry and raspberry (you can see the bits in the teabag)
Even though I use teabags, you really can't beat brewed tea in a teapot.
When I do that I like Twinings Irish or English breakfast tea.

Its funny, when I brew the tea, I like to use a nice cup and saucer, when I have my everyday tea in a teabag, I use a big (more than a cup) thick mug!:)
I occasionally have coffee, but always its decaff.

Does the world stop for you while you sit down with a relaxing cup of tea? Do you have more than 10 varieties of tea in your cupboards? Do people who know you keep buying you tea? Black, green, white....no matter what your favourite tea is, this is the club for you!

Yes I have more than 10 varieties (not panic bought) ;)

Green:
Sencha style China Green, China Gunpowder, Ceylon Green

Black, flavoured:
Nutty Chocolate Assam, Plummy Earl Grey, Ceylon Passion Fruit and Caramel

Green, flavoured:
Green with roses and mint, Green with apples and elderflowers. Green with mango and ginger, Green Darjeeiling with vanilla and raspberries

White, flavoured:
White with roses and figs

Rooibush, flavored:
Rooibush with caramel, Rooibus with oranges and cinnamon, Rooibus with strawberries and vanilla

Infusions:

Do people who know you keep buying you tea?
Fortunately not to often. Getting tea as a gift is nice, select it myself is even nicer.

I always keep green tea with lemon, peppermint, ginger and lemon and chamomile tea in my cupboards. In fact, I'm just going to make one now.
