I can agree with you that the life in the USA is better than in Pakistan, India or Venezuela.

I do not think its better than in Germany, Norway, Switzerland, South Korea or Austria. Why? Because of the inequality of incomes, huge debts, lack of public health care, the lack of a good free education and similar.

America is still the wild, wild west in many ways. Our diverse demographics also doesn't lend itself to general prosperity.

Yes, Mexicans, South Americans... not so much Swiss, Germans, Norwegians or Canadians...

Do not get me wrong, the USA is still a successful developed economy, better for life than many other countries, if you can settle down in a good part. I do not say the opposite. Its just not as good and easy for life as it was before.
When was this " before"? A person can live anywhere and be successful now. Just start a successful internet business. Yes things have changed, but there's not less opportunity, just different ones.

I would say that in 90', when the Soviet union fell, the USA was something dreamy for most Europeans. In 2020, it seems to be more trouble than gain.

Not sure what you mean that now a person can live anywhere.

As you earlier admitted, you do not know what it is like in the US. There is no lack of public health care. Inequality of income is irrelevant to individual quality of life. People are not forced to go into debt, they do that voluntarily. Education from grades K-12 is free of charge.

I do not live in the USA, but I also do not live in Switzerland or Japan and still have some information about it. But I understand that life in New York or Miami can be different than in Detroit or Iowa.

I meant free public health care.

This true. The majority of immigrants are non-white, by a factor of 6:1.

So an average American can use anything, but he cannot own it? The house is of the bank, things in the house are of the bank and if you loose your job, you have suddenly nothing, only the debts?

The average American is doing just fine. And if not usually have the opportunities and the time to correct their problems. At age 55 my net worth was only $20,000. Today I'm in very good shape financially. I never in my life worried about money, knowing that if I just retained my ability to work everything would be fine, and it is.

I do not even have a credit card. I would be a total looser there :D

I only have two, for convenience (and the rewards) and never carry a balance. The cc companies call me a "deadbeat", because they don't make a profit from me. One can build a good credit rating by paying the balance off each month and never paying any interest.

We have free public health care for those that have a low income. Why would we pay for health care for those that can afford to pay for themselves? Should the 1% have free health care? Don't they already have enough stuff?

We get a 1to 5% kickback by using credit cards judiciously . I hardly consider that losing.

Sadly, not true. Watch at 7:05

I don't need to watch anything to know that no one needs to pay for their children's education. From pension funds or elsewhere. K-12 free of charge. Grade 12 takes one to 18 years of age. The age of emancipation. In other words they are no longer children and must take responsibility for themselves.

Exactly. The rewards build up on my main card very fast, $500 plus at last count (I have applied it to my next balance). The biggest losers are those who pay cash, as they still unknowingly pay the 3-5% the cc company charges the retailor.

My dentist gives a 5% discount for paying cash.

We have free public health care for those that have a low income.
You mean free health care by volunteers like this (26:30)?

If so, then its not what I meant. I mean normal, standard medical care for everybody.

If you do not want to watch, then do not watch, but its hard to discuss about facts, then.

As does the mechanic I use to fix my car. A mechanic that makes much more money than I do. Yet somehow his having a larger income and Bill Gates income dwarfing his income does not cause me to be destitute nor, since envy is not one of my favorite pastimes, to be upset in any way.

No, I mean Medicaid. The best insurance in the country. If I was prone to envy I would be envious of that insurance.

Why are the people on the video in a need of volunteers to get a medical treatment, then? Normal looking people, children, whole families?

Gotcha. I've had several opportunities for very high income jobs and positions that I turned down because of the restrictions they would place on my personal time. I can take off for the woods just about whenever I like in my job (of forty-plus years). That is of great value to me and my soul.
