God is the creator of a man and woman. He is the one that made the rules of not having sex outside of Holy Matrimony which is between a man and a woman. Sex within marriage is considered holy and blessed if it is respectful to one another. Not self center, but is considerate to all. The act of sex is a union of two spirits and bodies. When a man and woman join together in a sexual relationship that is blessed then good things can happen, but when a man and woman join in a sexual relationship that are not in holy matrimony they are connecting their spirits in an unholy way and an unholy presence is what comes from them connecting. Marriage is only between a man and woman for that is how God created the union. Otherwise, those that claim they are marriage and in the same sex relationship have only join with a civil union/contract for God who created marriage did so with the opposite sexes.

Yes, Adam and Eve got married, but there wasn't a wedding dress/cake/honeymoon/a bunch of family and friends and so on like today. As time went by more and more traditions were developed into finally what we have today; which are not so cheap and simple anymore.

Ephesians 5:31 After the fall.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
