• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Glad I can visit CF again. I still go to my church 3 times a week, that helps me get up earlier, though I often slumber there. When I get up earlier my mood is better. Life is hard but friendship is more precious. May the Lord care everybody here.

In Christ,
Yusuph Hai

Just feeling down and ready to cry

Sorry to hear you are feeling down. Anything in particular making you feel like that, or is it just a down turn in your mood?

Feeling fine today. Since Thursday really. i have been doing quiet well. i went out with the whole family, all 25 of us, and we stayed in a really cute cottages on a beautiful property. We had beautiful weather and a very nice time. We had the five oldest grand kids sleeping in our cottage, we had a ball together. The last month my moods have been so much better. Ever since i dropped 1/4 of my anti psychotics with no ill effects.

The doctors guess the dosage but i know what it does to me and when it stops doing that. i have had no voices or hallucinations at all. So hoping that this trend will continue i have been so depressed in 2019.

Wishing God's peace alive in you all.

I think I might stay in this forum from now on, even though I've said this before and reneged. I'm just not feeling like anyone else cares except for the people here, barring a couple exceptions.

Yes these other forums can be very disappointing, most people argue instead of love. The depression forum remains a safe place to go to.

Blessings

I am Chinese and living in Beijing. I am so sorry Chinese national disaster is threatening the whole world. Pray more Chinese will repent and believe only the Lord can save, and enough medical treatment can be offered by national and international organization. Chinese need help, especially need the effective vaccine to overcome the Virus. Unfortunately China has refused the American medical team to survey in Wuhan. Now most Chinese dare not go out and have to stay at home.A least 9812 have been diagnosed to be patients of Coronavirus, increasing about 2000 diagnosed a day. and 15238 are possible patients, increasing about 3000 a day.

The question is not only why did China wait so long before they raised the alarm, but where did that virus come from? We know that it is human made. Who released it and why?

Could the super rich begin there reign of terror in China. i know the wicked want to reduce the world population to 1 billion. Super viruses could achieve that without any sweat. Bill Gates holds the patent for the vaccine of the virus. An out break is going to make him super super rich and at the same time take out the weak and the vulnerable. This is not by accident it is a deliberate plot to destroy our freedom.

The wicked work through fear, it is best to put our faith in Jesus and await what awaits us.

Psalms 27:1-3
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked advance against me
to devour me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,

even then I will be confident.

Forgot to take my antidepressant. Scared to death of any withdrawal symptom, as this has happened in the past. I can't take it now because it makes me sleepy. Ironically, extreme fatigue was a withdrawal symptom before. I can't deal with that again because I have to help my mom all day. Perhaps if I take 3 iron pills today instead of 2, I could stave that off. I'm allowed to take 3 a day anyway by my doctor even though I've always taken 2. Also afraid of any suicidal ideation returning even if it's just one day without it.

How did you go with the withdrawal? You survived it alright or did it give you a really hard time?

i hope you are doing okay.

I was surprised that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. The first time I tried to go without Wellbutrin for a day, I was absolutely horrible, but this time around I had been sleeping during the onslaught of the symptoms, so I think this made a difference this time.

It dawned on me how much agitation and "wiredness" that Wellbutrin was causing me when I accidentally missed a dose for one day. I did feel out of it somehow. I felt an uncomfortable fatigue and I was always afraid of a sudden sleep attack (wanting to crash suddenly), but there was an aura of calm that I felt that I knew was attributed to the one-day absence of Wellbutrin. The things stopping me from quitting it were the fear of suicidal ideation returning again, binge eating, crying spells, and extreme fatigue coming back. I also am able to fall asleep on it, which I can't do without some sort of medication. I also have a doctor's appointment at the end of February and I wouldn't want to do anything on my own before then.

Even though I take Buspar with the Wellbutrin, I still feel periods of agitation, but forgetting the Wellbutrin made me so much calmer, at least for one day. Maybe the crap would have hit the fan had I went a second, third day without it, etc.

almost certainly, usually one miss doesn't do much apart of a feeling of unease, but two or three days without gets us pinging.

i'm glad it didn't effect you too badly.

I'm glad too, but I don't know what this means for me medication-wise. I might want to talk to the doctor about this, but I don't know. There's a medication that might be better for me but I heard the withdrawals are atrocious (Cymbalta). The doc brought it up once but the horror stories about withdrawals drew me away from it at the time. (she didn't bring up the stories, I saw them online)

It would be good if you could go on an anti-depressant that meets your needs. Maybe going of the Wellbutrin will not cause as much havoc as you fear. At least now you know it is not as bad as you thought. quiet a bit to discuss with your doctor i hope you work it out.
