Are you sure?
Luke 24
40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.
I know. I'm undecided on this subject. I've been abstaining for about three weeks to a month now; and I will continue until I get this matter resolved.
Here is what I have on this portion of this subject:
Did Jesus Eat Fish? (Luke 24:41-43) - By John Vujicic: Comments and Discussions - Questions and Answers
Doesn't mean we have to eat it,
You can't pick and choose from the law, either you are free from it or you are under all of it.
Yes, we differ, I believe Christ freed us from the written law and instead gave us a moral law guided by the Holy Spirit.
The water goes through the shell and the nutritions from the water are filtered out for the fish to eat. The toxins are also filtered out and that presents a danger to the person eating the shelled fish.shell fish was originally prohibited for example.
There is no difference between the law and the word of God. "Why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' but not do what I say?" (Luke 6:36) We are to follow the teaching of Jesus and do what He says to do. We are to love God, love our neighbor and love ourself. All of the law is summed up in this. So what part of loving our neighbor do you think we are not responsible to do? Or perhaps we should just show love for them that love us first. "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?" (Matthew 5:46)You can't pick and choose from the law, either you are free from it or you are under all of it.
There is a vast difference between the current commandments and those under the old covenant. Yes, it's all summed up in loving your neighbor and loving God. It no longer matters what you eat or drink or wear, in fact, Jesus said to give no thought to those things. There is no difference between the law and the word of God.
One is literal and the other is archetype but there is not a VAST difference. Ask any girl that has to deal with a stepmother if she can relate to the story of Cinderella. Jesus said: "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." (Matthew 5:18) Yet there is not even a temple in Jerusalem so a lot of the Bible has to do with what goes on in the temple. Yet all of this still applies to us and we need to understand how to apply the Bible to our lives today. There is a vast difference between the current commandments and those under the old covenant.
There are 613 mitzvot. The "Jewish" Rabbi's want to add to the Bible but Jesus did not support that. Moses said: "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it" (Deut 4:2)How do the 613 laws of the Torah apply to us?
Would you list those verses for me? Don't worry about Luke 24: 41-43; that one has been covered.Yes, its recorded in the New Testament.
How do the 613 laws of the Torah apply to us?
Not sure what this has to do with the discussion? Do you follow all those laws or not?Leviticus 24:22
King James Bible
Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.
Not sure what this has to do with the discussion? Do you follow all those laws or not?
You are not able. This is a work of the Grace of God in us and through us. God puts His love in us. The Charis is the Grace of God & Charisma are the many gifts of God. This is the work of the Holy Spirit of God working in and through us. As we are living in the Holy Spirit dispensation. To the best of my ability.
