Hi @Lily76_ You recently posted this; my wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also, and I'm sure that other conversations have arisen as a result of her willingness to be tattooed in this way.hi , i have a few tattoos
@Lily76_ Is there a good parlor near you? a good artist would be able to advise.i think id like that over one of my tattoos i have now but there not very much room bewteen my wrist and another tattoo of a dragon i have the tattoo i want to cover is a pentagram that i foolishly got years ago
@Hazelelponi It's interesting that in Ezekiel 16.12 the Lord Himself is recorded as having given Zion a nose ring, at least symbolically. When I was a young girl I got some piercings that were quite typical of young girls but as a Christian (and an old woman) such things are of no interest to me personally.
@Lily76_ Industrials and septum rings can be a creative alternative to studs.oh i also have a industral and a serum ( middle noise ring in both noistrals )

Part of it would also be deciding what design for the superimposed modification.

"how do folks feel about these" is rarely in line with Scripture, if ever (to start with). Thus the desires and the lusts of the flesh are dealt with according to Scripture, instead of followed or even permitted to go on.I'm probably stepping on a prickly subject, but how do folks feel about these, as well as other popular things like selfies & body image, through surgery, or building muscle to 'look good'?
If you go along with any, how do you then do what Yeshua says in Lk9v23 ?
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me."
As God Says in His Word: (I think a woe) "MY people have forgotten how to blush"...... (not as if a good thing, but a warning).....yet in fact some bikinis are actually more modest than some stringy one-piece creations.
@Lily76_ Even if you decide not to get a lot more tattoos, yet the fact that you are considering having one of your existing designs covered with another design and the fact that the parlor near you seems to have the personal recommendation of other ppl you know, plus the fact that you have already been there and had satisfactory tattoo experiences: it may all add up to make it seem a suitable place to go if you do indeed think you need more inking.there one near where i live that i like going to heard from people who have had work there and they keep going back to it to get more work
@Daniel Marsh Yes, the fact that people keep going back to the same parlor for their next inkings is likely a good recommendation in itself about their satisfaction with the parlor and its apparent cleanliness, esp. if it's regularly inspected. We have three ... in my area. One no one ever had problems health wise.
Yes, well, you as a more mature, confidently tattooed lady can clearly advocate for carefully planned tattoo experiences that won't be regretted, like you say.I think the tattoo talk should be before 17. ..
I have tattoos and my two sons and their wives also. .. None of us in our family have regrets about any of our ink because there is meaning behind it and it is talked about with the grandkids so they understand it is not done in a frivolous manner.
Terry, Sir: even though it's greatly expanded recently, for some ppl it's long been regarded as a very classy thing to have done.Upper class ladies in the Uk were always likely to have a discrete tattoo
@Hazelelponi You said this, back a bit. It's good really to concentrate on the spiritual and inward life and not get too bothered about stuff like jewelry/piercings.I've been through the piercings discussion and ensuing debate and more ..I allowed piercings (tongue, belly button, ears and nose) and I did not allow tattoos.
each generation different than the one which came before..and only an individual knows what's in their heart..I've been through the piercings discussion and ensuing debate and more with them - the most difficult thing I think is to keep them separate from the latest fads and trends. .. All we can do as Christians is to do our best and hope they don't regret too badly the things they do now.
Kristy Campbell said:My daughter has wanted a tattoo for her 18th birthday for years. .. It seems every one of my daughter’s contemporaries has one if not multiple tattoos…every actress, every singer, and most of her friends have been inked. It is de rigueur for this generation. I don’t really get it, but it reminded me of when I begged my parents for a double piercing in one ear. .. I just knew I had to do it.
