From the link:

There is much talk that New Jersey might one day flip from blue to red — particularly after Rep. Jefferson Van Drew, a New Jersey Democrat, left his party in December and became a Republican. President Trump personally welcomed him to the White House.

I think it is important to note that the Congressman left the Democratic Party over the impeachment, that is a major change from 2016.

Perhaps it may be a much tighter race this time.

I strongly doubt there's any polling data at all backing up such hopes.

After this impeachment hoax, I would just bet that NJ will vote red.

Dems dug the very hole that they themselves will fall into, and great will be that fall.

As I already pointed out, Republicans gained 2 seats in the NJ assembly this year. Dems went from having just over 2/3 of the seats (54-26) to just under (52-28).

There's no way NJ is going to flip to red any time soon.

Record-breaking 100,000 people want tickets to Trump rally in New Jersey
https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/jan/21/record-breaking-100000-people-want-tickets-to-trum/
Mr. Van Drew reports that 100,000 people are now seeking tickets to one of Mr. Trump’s signature Keep America Great rallies, to be staged in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Jan. 28 in a venue that only seats about 7,500. The last time a president visited the area was in 1891, when Benjamin Harrison came to call.

Support for the POTUS is rising exponentially, and not just in America, regardless of the typical democrat denials. NJ could very well flip, but much more is yet to come that will flip even more Americans to vote for President Trump.

When the Clinton Library sponsored Ruth Bader Ginsberg last September, they had to move to the Arena, seating 16,000 plus, to accommodate all the requests for tickets. I and most of my friends were on the waiting list, and felt sure this change would get us tickets---but no luck. It was livestreamed and everyone I knew was glued to the TV to watch. What an inspirational figure, such a role model of character and integrity. No wonder why so many people with good judgment wanted to see her, even in Arkansas, which is still heavily pro-Trump but which is beginning to experience enlightenment.

As a lifelong New Jersey native, I can tell you that such talk is more wishful thinking than reality. The majority of the population is in the north, and there's a big liberal NYC influence. We have a few red pockets, occasionally elect a Republican governor (Christie) and live to regret it (Christie), but by and large, Texas will go blue long before NJ goes red.

Support for the POTUS is rising exponentially,

When you start at a level somewhere between root canal and syphilis, there's nowhere to go but up, I suppose...

I have never considered the options in such words, but understand the illustration and believe it is pretty accurate in describing how millions of people feel about alternatives to the current administration

I have never considered the Democratic options in such words,

And now that someone else has said words, it's easy to echo.

but understand the illustration and believe it is pretty accurate in describing how millions of people feel about alternatives to the current administration

And yet the poll numbers remain stagnant.

Consider: Donald is presiding over a booming economy for which he claims -- and demands -- full credit. He also authorized a military operation against a hostile foreign government which resulted in the death of a genuine bad guy.

Either of those events should send his approval rating climbing -- both of them together would shoot any other president to messianic levels.

Yet Donald remains stagnant. A man would have to be truly repulsive to offset such events. Donald has a gift.
