That was Pelosi's decision - not mine. I do know this: such a case would be in the courts through the election. This President will exhaust every legal avenue, road, dirt path or hole he can...that's what he has done his entire life. He recognizes no limits to his power...he's even said so.
As for losing such a case, you clearly have not reviewed past court rulings.

So you want an impeachment process that lasts about a year or two? Because Trump's violation of subpoenas would likely go all the way to SCOTUS. That will take time.
So instead of taking the House to task for not spending another year on this, why don't you take Trump to task for HIDING EVERYTHING?

They are supposed to be debating the next resolution to get documents from the OMB and instead Jay Sekulow is blathering about the Whistleblower and the aid ultimately making it to Ukraine. In what universe are these people considered intelligent? B'cuz it looks to me like they can't actually follow directions. Now Schiff is up there blathering about the aid and rebutting Sekulow's blather.

Hey, I voted for Trump in '16 and will again in '20.
But there are many things about his character that upsets me.
For example, I was watching the news the other day and my grand kids came over, 7 and 9. All of a sudden I hear Trump on the tv say s.o.b. loud and clear.
My grand kids looked at me and felt like crawling under the couch.
It burned me up to no end. There is no call for a president to conduct himself in such a manner. I agree with many of your complaints of Trump.
But as far as following his legal rights, I can't blame him.

No, the House did not request the documents properly and would not allow the President to have his counsel present. The rules are there for a reason. They knew the rules and didn't do what they needed to do to see the documents. They voted without them saying that they didn't need them because they had overwhelming evidence to show that Trump should be impeached. If they had overwhelming evidence, then the Senate must not need it either.
And there have been exactly TWO other presidential trials for impeachment. Not a single president has been convicted though. This Senate could have voted to address additional evidence. They chose to not address it at this time...hence, they tabled it. Tabling things is a normal part of how the House and Senate does business. Again, the evidence should have been gathered and presented in the House before they voted to impeach the president. Any additional witnesses should be because the Senate has questions and wants to call the witnesses...not because the House is telling them who they should call.
In the meantime, Sanders, Warren, and Biden can't be campaigning as we go into the presidental primaries in Feb as long as this trial continues.

We are a country that is based on innocence until proven guilty. Yes, if he was guilty of high crimes and treason, I would expect them to spend the proper amount of time needed to prove his guilty no matter how long it took to process. Congressmen re used to things going slow and following the rules. Instead they are calling him guilty and then wanting the Senate to find the evidence to prove his guilt. It doesn't work that way.
And asking Ukraine to investigate if the US did something illegal in the past, does not sound like high crime or treason. If the prior administration and it's representatives were clean of corruption, it wouldn't be an issue and would work in. Do we really believe that Hunter Biden got his job because he applied independent of his father's connections and was the "best man for the job"? And why do several of the children of Congressmen work for this company with extremely high salaries.
