What you do with it is up to you, but that doesn't make you right.

You and the Bible teacher you quoted make the claim so it is up to you to prove that Betelgeuse is in any way special or mentioned in the Bible. So far there is not a single shred of evidence of that.

Glad to hear that, because there has been a lot of apologetics going on for false science beliefs.

Only astrology can save us now from false science beliefs with the help from eternal Betelgeuse.

OK. But whatever it does will not be predicted since you are simply observing to see what it does. The reasons it will brighten or dim are open for debate also. So is how far away it is and how big it is.

Betelgeuse appears to be still fading; last night it was about the same brightness as Bellatrix (gamma Orionis), which is magnitude 1.64.

Great. So is the credit supposed to go to the cosmological model for this?

It seems that you are basing that on considering Betelgeuse as an individual star then not finding it particularly mentioned in the Bible.. the conclusion seems to be that Chuck Missler or myself are in error about the bulk of his teaching, and my given his name as a source on the topic.

I frankly am not studied in it enough to qualify to thoroughly and soundly win a debate on it. That is mainly why I mentioned C. Missler.

I merely think the topic both Biblical and interesting. But I take no imposed obligation to strive beyond my present capability to struggle to prove the validity of the teaching to such as yourself who is set against considering any of it.

To each his own.

The red giant star Betelgeuse (not to be confused with the Michael Keaton movie,) which is in the constellation Orion, has significantly dimmed. Once the 9th brightest star in our view of the galaxy, it is now the 23rd brightest. This could mean that it will explode as a supernova. Actually, this may have already occurred. Betelgeuse is 600 ly from Earth. What we’re observing now happened 6 centuries ago. We’ll know more in the next 600 years.

A Giant Star Is Dimming, Which Could Be a Sign It Is About to Explode | Smart News | Smithsonian Magazine

Update here, with a fun, intriguing nearby gravity wave burst (!)....which probably doesn't mean Betelgeuse ....but, it just adds interest.

Also, viewing details.

Star you've all seen, reddish Betelgeuse, has dimmed a lot...fun update
