I am a generation that witness the climate change.

When I was child, there were tuns of snow everywhere, heavy snowing in December, all Christmas were white.

Then it began to change, winters were shorter with less and less snow. This year we had no snowing yet and its already January. Todays children do not know what it is like to have white Christmas. But I remember them. I remember there were real winters before and now they are gone.

Global warming is real. I do not need scientists to tell me. We can discuss whats the reason, if its something regular in planetary climate change in every x thousand years of if its something caused by us, but the warming is here.

My Grandfather who was born in the late 1800`s, was from a generation that witnessed climate change. In the early 1900`s it got warm just like now and the Island of Greenland... was green.

My father..... who was born in 1927, was from a generation that witnessed "climate change". In the 1930's temperature records were broken that still stand even though some are being broken today.
It was called the "dust bowl" and my father stated that he has never seen such heat and drought as he did then.

I am from a generation that is witness to climate change... in the 60's and 70's we had lots of snow and I couldn't fathom seeing a "green Christmas" like the ones that my mother showed me pictures of from past years.

We just experienced a decade or two of a "Solar Maximum" where the sun is a little bit warmer.

We are now going to experience a "Solar Minimum" where the sun is a little bit cooler...

My children.... will be a generation that are witness to "climate change"... and the cycle continues.

MAN... has no ability to alter the massive forces that cause these events.

Men... have the strong ability to teach students and naive public, through schools and media.. to believe something that is not even real.

We are raised to respect our educators and our media sources to tell us the truth.. We pay, listen and answer questions on exams... in order to achieve a passing grade and get our diploma...

It's a perfect venue to deceive the youth.. and... it has.

Oh there you go.
Mock & deny but present nothing credible.
Are we supposed to be impressed with you for some reason?
Your obviously proud bias? Your youth & inexperience?
Your courage to ignore important distinctions that aren't even subtle?
This is perhaps why no one could care less who you say you listen to.
You do nothing to create community here, you show no willingness to listen or ability to learn.

I in fact do "believe" in "climate change".
We are in fact, in a solar minimum and temps have been steadily declining as per cycle. The changes we are witnessing tho, have more to do with the HAARP program, now in conjunction with the Arora program to effect and weaponize weather control as per the USAF's own bragging for decades now. They got sued by the state of Georgia when the bragged about steering a hurricane away from Virginia (straight into Georgia) so they had to tone it down & go completely black on most of it.
There's lots of information on this out there but I know you're not interested in that. You obviously have an axe to grind against boomers. You have my pity for that.
Put USAF Weather Control into a search engine and just see all the dirt that comes up.

Heavens no certainly don't give any credence to my opinion. I've repeatedly stated my opinion and yours is of zero value. You don't ignore the advice of the concensus of 120000 doctors when your mother is sick with cancer. It's ridiculous to listen to you, your grandfather or me. Listen to the doctors who have the expertise.

Well mother earth is sick and we have concensus of the worlds 12000 climate scientists. How foolish and dangerous it is to ignore such a vast collective of experts.

Your repetitions of negative bias aren't even on topic, Zoii.
I'm not ignoring expert advice, I'm indicting it. Please try to pay some attention.
Your hyperbola is not substantive. Your opinion is emotive, but irrational.
Tone it down and deal with facts at least a little.

They aren't my facts. I've told you before - what on earth do I know. I'm not qualified as a climate scientist. Nor are you, so please - stop professing information that you have zero expertise in. Instead say - Okay, I'd sure go to a doctor if I was sick because he's an expert.

Now - who are the experts in climate science - and I don't want to listen to just one expert - I want to listen to the collective opinion - lets see now - Is there a collective/consensus statement of these experts? Why yes there is.
https://www.science.org.au/files/us...tatement-climate-change-12mar2018-english.pdf

My generation is ZERO interested in the opinion of anyone that doesn't have the qualification and research expertise in the field - No matter how much you criticise and moan about my generation - You and the people you point to are NOT the experts.

Despite all that - and as much as I am frustrated by those who would oppose reducing carbon emissions, I dont want an ongoing argument. I know your position - and of course you know mine. Please at least acknowledge that my generations isn't acting out of any selfish motive - We have a genuine concern for the planet and future generations. That doesn't make us an evil cohort or a group to be reviled.

QUOTE="Zoii, post: They aren't my facts.
I said you've presented NO facts, I did NOT reference "your facts".
It would be at worst a lie to insinuate I did, and at best a horribly irrational response to your own imagination instead of the reality of what I said.

I've told you before - what on earth do I know. I'm not qualified as a climate scientist.
You don't even have to say it, Zoii. You make it abundantly obvious and trying to virtue signal humility by saying so is comical.

Nor are you, so please - stop professing information that you have zero expertise in.
I professed nothing except your own irrationality and bias. I have discussed nothing on topic with you because you have not addressed the topic. All you have done is tried to inflame a generational divide. It's pathetic.

Quack, quack.

As ridiculous as your behavior has been, I will check out the link you provided knowing full well there's little chance of finding anything there doesn't affirm your obvious bias.

My generation is ZERO interested in the opinion of anyone that doesn't have the qualification and research expertise in the field - No matter how much you criticise and moan about my generation - You and the people you point to are NOT the experts.
"Your generation" has nothing at all to do with the topic.
I haven't claimed expertise in anything. You're making stuff up to pimp your profile.
You act as if you're badge of youthful passion and innocence is something new and true.
Well enjoy an earlier version of the same phenomena:

Despite all that - and as much as I am frustrated by those who would oppose reducing carbon emissions, I dont want an ongoing argument. I know your position - and of course you know mine. Please at least acknowledge that my generations isn't acting out of any selfish motive - We have a genuine concern for the planet and future generations. You sound angry - You're not the first boomer to attack teens who follow what climate scientists recommend. You won't be the last.
Firstly, it's not an "attack". It's a disagreement, a debate, an argument.
Secondly, it's not only "teens". Sorry, but.. you're not special. It's just an argument with those that disagree.
Third, "boomers" lived through the "ice age" scare... the farce of "the energy crisis", the whole "sugar is good fat is bad" where butter, eggs, and many other things were going to kill us.... so the industry put sugar in everything and made the masses believe that fat was bad... and obesity skyrocketed as well as poor health.
Then came "aspartame"... have you heard of that one? Ya, it was to reduce calories but it increased appetite and a bunch of other health problems compounded the whole "fat is bad" farce.
Oh and don't for get the failed idea that robotics and automation was going to make our lives so easy that we would get bored with all our free time and money.. They even had college courses to train "Recreation Leadership" so that people would be able to organize all kinds of fun things for us to do in this wealth of free time and surplus cash... Ya... what happened there?

Look, I understand, we raise our kids to listen to authority, respect it.. Then we send you to schools where teachers are given a curriculum to teach. And, they do just that... However, academia has been wrong before. We, the boomers, have been "round the block". It' not our first rodeo.

So, forgive us if we say "hey.... wait a minute... that doesn't seem right" every time the hive mind wants to stick their hands in our pocket over some pie in the sky idea that is questionable.

Therefore, be careful when you start chirping people who have lived more than 1/2 a century and saw a ocean of water go under that bridge. In fact, in some cultures, the youth will actually listen to the wise and experienced... so that they don't make the same mistakes.

This "boomer" generation, after all, has given you all the luxuries and infrastructure that you enjoy today.
And they did it through work conditions that killed us.

So, you can get off your high horse and stop accusing us of "attacking teen" because we will argue with the generation "X" as well...

This isn't the first questionable agenda force fed to us through the media and education system... that turned out to be totally false and put billions of dollars from our pockets into the trust funds of a few powerful people.

Just so the thread viewers know, I am a preboomer and have seen over 3/4 of a century of water go under that bridge. I also disagree with @JacksBratt in almost every detail. I don't want to hand my grandchildren a sick planet that they will curse us for. There is a world full of data that global warming is a real and present danger, that the world is not flat, that the moon landings were not faked, -------

I never said that the world didn't warm a bit... I said it's not man made climate change. I said it's cyclic.

There is a wealth of data proving this.

In fact, Canada had a very cold, in climate terms, 2019... but try to find that among the propaganda... a report like that, even when true... gets lost in the reams of denial of it.

This next generation will pass on a sicker planet than we handed them... anyway. With their flat screens, cell phones, solar array's, batteries from electric cars, fast food containers, water bottles, and all the appliances that last about 5 years and then get tossed..

Face it... the boomers had it way better than these "teens" think that they will ever make it...

Your other points aren't worthy of response.

You seem very distressed that teens listen to the experts and not you or other non scientists you get your info from. Remanstrate all you like. We are going to listen to experts with qualifications and research background.... Not flakes with no expertise

LOL you're funny... "and not you or other non scientists you get your info from"

Is that how it works? If a scientist tells you what you believe... they are an expert.

If they present data that is contrary to your view.. they are a non expert?

Where did you get this idea? Quite comical...

So, you agree...... then.

If a scientist presents the view that climate change is man made.. then you will hold them as a valid expert.

However, if the scientist has a view that is contrary to man made changes... you will hold them with no valuable credibility.

Scientists have had a "consensus" on many things in the past... and ... they were wrong.

Like.. Lemmings running off cliffs, in mad herds of insanity.. to their death.
Like..The giants of Easter Island being large heads.. only.
Like.. There would be an ice age in 1980's and onward.
Like.. We were going to run out of energy.. in the 1980's.
Like... Man would never fly.
Like...thalidomide.
Like the belief in the Aether.
Like.. Pluto is a planet..
Like Ulcers are caused by stress.
Like.. Time being constant.
Like...Complex organisms having more genes than simple ones.
Like the belief that apes are the smartest non human animal.
Like..well... you get it.... or.. not.

Scientists can be wrong.. even when they have a "consensus" about something.
