What would fix this is for the major population centers establish their own gun control measures that best suits their desires and their way of life.

People in more rural areas will always have different concerns than those in major centers.

Everyone would be happy if those who wanted stringent controls could have it and those who actually need guns for safety and way of life wouldn't be bothered.

I've never been to DC, only been to Charlottesville 3 times because I needed surgery and had to go to the hospital there for it... we didn't take guns when we went either.

I've been to Loudoun county a couple times (no guns involved) when the kids lived there to visit before they moved to WV...

Other than that, we don't go into large population centers and they don't come here. Most of us are quite divorced from cities. People don't have issues with city people living the way they want, what people oppose is those same city people coming here and forcing us to live like them when our needs and way of life is different.

At least the counterprotestors are steering clear this time:

Yes I actually was going to say that in an earlier draft of the post and that was what Tim Pool was saying too. The only real chance I could see is if the Supreme Court could somehow get involved and somehow allow something since the law is strong enough that even people who are moderately liberal like Tim really hate what is going on.

There are now 93 jurisdictions — covering roughly 40 percent of the population of Virginia, that is now 2A sanctuary. Just because the major population centers and districting prevents the republicans any say in state government doesnt mean we should sit still and watch our rights be removed as they steamroll over us..

Let's see...40% of the population. I doubt more than half approve secession. Out of those, it's an even smaller group willing to fight for it.

What's more is this would set an incredibly stupid precedent. What about abortion laws? Can counties secede over those? Drug laws? Healthcare?

It won't happen. The federal government won't allow states to just swap counties. If people fight, they'll just die.

People will die if counties don't secede - that's what your not understanding. People are threatening us with the national guard and more.

I'm looking for solutions that have the capacity to prevent bloodshed - because if the dems don't turn it down, the next war begins in Virginia.

I'm old, disabled, and prefer not to be in the middle of all this crap but it's the progressives threatening people's way of life. Did you really think people are going to sit and take a forced removal of their God given rights?
