Pride and Prejudice

I’m opening with Pride and Prejudice. The scene is from the country ball. Mr. Darcy encounters Miss Elizabeth for the first time. She overheard his comment to a friend. It wasn’t favorable. But Lizzie isn’t daunted. She accepts the request to dance. And Darcy meets his match. She meets hers too! The rest is history. :p

Here's one I like and replay often in my mind. This is the shortest version of it I could find...really, it's the part where Neo starts running towards Agent Smith and you could see the hesitancy in Smith's face...then Neo jumps into the agent and swallows up his essence (from the inside out)!

Reminds me of this verse:

1 Corinthians 15
"54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come to pass: “Death has been swallowed up in victory."

I couldn't pick a single scene per se, but Babette's Feast and Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison are wonderful movies with Christian themes.
In Heaven Knows Mr. Allison, there is a meeting between the secular and the sacred, the male and the female, the extroverted sensor and the introverted intuitive.
In Babette's, there is a clash between the spiritual and the material, with the ending conclusion that both are sacred.

The shower scene from Psycho. Not sure if I should post the scene because it may not be appropriate here, but I'll post a picture from the scene.

Willy Wonka: "How did you like the chocolate factory, Charlie?"

Charlie: "I think it's the most wonderful place in the whole world."

Willy Wonka: "I'm very pleased to hear you say that, because I'm giving it to you."

I relate this little scene to how God treats us. If I could change anything, I'd add the part where we'll experience tribulations and persecutions. But the movie wasn't necessarily a "Christian" film was it?

There's also the final scene from a Christian movie called Time Changer that gives me chill bumps just about every darn time I watch it too. I couldn't find the clip on YouTube. But even if I did, it wouldn't have much impact just watching the clip by itself. The scene itself goes with the pace of the movie and really would only make sense watching them together in their totality.

But to summarize and give a bottom line, I'll say this: Christ is coming back soon. Be ready!:D

Saving private Ryan - We Stay too

Probably shouldn't post a link given the cites language restrictions. The Platoon sergeant has the idea of the squad staying behind and helping Ryan defend the little town and bridge even though they technically had completed their mission by finding him, and giving him the news that he could leave the War (because his brothers had been killed in previous battles).
