Hey everyone,

I'm Matt, 29, from Australia.

Currently working my way through the Bible, finding it fascinating.
Attempting KJV with assistance from other translations.

I feel more aligned with less structure and being gay it's quite hard to know where I fit in with regard to denomination.
Any help would be greatly appreciated?!

Welcome, though you'll soon find there's only a handful of Aussies here.
I'm not sure what your question is exactly. Anyhow, the KJV 1611 or Pure Cambridge Edition (and it's family of texts and source texts, i.e. the Textus Receptus and Masoretic Text) is a very accurate and precise text, so long as you're comfortable reading it.
About denominationalism, identity politics (homosexuality), and politics, I would suggest you reconsider your perspective. That is, Scripture while gracious towards sinners, as all have sinned, falling short of the glory of God, and none are righteous, there are several explicit and clear references/commandments against the interests you've mentioned. The directive is to 'repent', for believers and followers of Christ to turn from sin, to love God, be re-defined as a child of God, conformed in the image of Christ, offering spiritual sacrifices to God, abstaining from worldly affairs, politics/government, and repenting from sexual immorality/fornication (e.g. Romans 1:28, Romans 1:28 Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.; see also 'abomination' in Leviticus 20:13, Genesis 1:1 (KJV)) amongst other carnalities in the fleshly lusts of sinful human nature. Things that oppose to God and Scripture. Though permissible (as the Lord himself ate with sinners) are contrary to the intents and purposes of Scripture and the will of God. I hope that helps.

Also, there's an Aussie ex LGBTQ leader who converted to the Lord and went to study theology/Scripture at Oxford. I forget his name, maybe someone else might, but you may find his testimony useful. IIRC, he spoke about his ardent devotion to atheism and the lgbtq identity/community, before he learned of the great love of God, his Father in heaven, and repented.
