Or just agree. Then tell them you are happy, saved and loved. Remember that Lord Jesus was extremely ordinary to look at. God sees the heart, not outward appearance.

Be sure that you are doing all you can do with your personality.

I would smile warmly and thank them whole heartedly. I mean, if there is anyone you'd want to perceive you negatively, wouldn't it be someone who perceives God negatively? Like math; a negative + a negative = a positive!
It would be on my list of ultimate compliments.

My response would depend on whether they’re addressing my appearance or behavior.

Appearance: Excuse me? Unless the person is belligerent this ends the discussion.

Behavior: I’d ask them to explain why they feel that way. Oftentimes people just want to be heard.

If it’s a random person on the street hurling insults I keep walking.

Nice theory, and we will find out one day. When the Lord Jesus was risen, He walked for a couple of hours with two disciples. They did not recognise Him. In His time on earth Lord Jesus did not stand out from the crowd. A friend of mine saw the risen Lord Jesus. He was amazed at how normal He looked.

Confirm or deny I guess , most people look ugly so what . Just because you look better than others does not mean you aren't ugly you are simply looking better than others.

If you get bothered by it then you really don't have much to do atm , some persecuted Christians on earth are digging their graves while having somebody poiting gun at them I don't think they care that they are covered in dirt and ugly you know.
