Take the one which you can get and forget the other.I'm sort of getting the question one minute and then imnot..
"true" as in living the Truth. In order to have an answer that means anything, you need to define what "true human" is, or at least, how you are using the word "true?"
So, what would it be like to live like Christ? What is more truly human than to live like Christ?
Would not a true human being be living the Truth?Until I hear his definition of "true," then I might take the other position. Since God didn't create Adam equal to God, and even created him knowing he would fall (yes, I can prove that), then being truly human is to be less than divine. It is the divine the true human should seek, but is in and of himself, not divine.
Is not a reflection of the truth just another, but clever, illusion. Are we not capable, through Christ, to become a true human being.
This is elementary. There is one who is called true or truth...and he walked on a certain path. A true human reflects his character while walking, as best he can, on that same path.Would not a true human being be living the Truth?
If so, then what would that be like?
Is not your true self the spirit of God?At the age of 77, it's ever growing fatigue, stiffness, a shrinking energy pool, joint and muscle pain, loss of family and friends as they die before you, and the growing realization that it's OVER. What you have done is what you could do, it's too late to start over, and the future is simply an increasing physical/mental struggle to hold what capability you have, and shed what you can no longer support, till it's over, and IF you're Born Again, then a new eternal beginning.
Would not a true human walk in Truth, in God's will, and not trying to reflect what they think is true through their own will. This is elementary. There is one who is called true or truth...and he walked on a certain path. A true human reflects his character while walking, as best he can, on that same path.
What would it be like to be like Christ?
That is hard to pin down. It is a "work in progress." It is marked by continuous changes in paradigm.Do you know what that is like to live life as a spirit of God with a human body?
Romans 3:10 talks about those who do not seek God.we will not know until the resurrection day of the righteous
Romans 3:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
1 Corinthians 15:52-54 King James Version (KJV)
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Perhaps Truth is not a paradigm. That is hard to pin down. It is a "work in progress." It is marked by constant changes in paradigm.
"And do not be conformed to this world, butPerhaps Truth is not a paradigm.
I said he would walk in truth... and as far as reflecting "what they think is true." I didn't say that.. what I said was that we reflect the CHARACTER of the Lord. Paul wrote, "in all you do in word or deed, do so in the NAME OF the Lord." This has nothing, at all, to do with the letters J.E.S.U.S. (or Y.E.S.H.U.A.) and everything to do with his character, reputation, and authority. To walk in the name of the Lord means to walk in his authority, in a manner that reflects his character, and that adds to HIS (not yours) reputation. Profaning his name is walking outside of his authority or will, in a manner that doesn't reflect his character and that takes from his reputation.Would not a true human walk in Truth, in God's will, and not trying to reflect what they think is true through their own will.
Which is pretty much what I said. For the time being, though, I gotta live in it, and endure it's gradual death. Is not your true self the spirit of God?
To believe you are the body, instead of just having one, is like a driver of a car believing they are the car. When the car (body) dies, their belief will have them perish with the car (body). As a Christian, are we not to let go of the flesh.
