For the last 5 months I’ve been praying for someone to come back. I’ve been praying every night for this person to come back into my life and for me to have another chance. At the beginning I was having thoughts about wether I was praying about the right thing and asked god if what I’m praying for is right. I had a dream of this person that night and asked again and I had another dream and I kept hope.

A couple weeks ago. I was begging to wonder again so I asked some people for advice and I decided to move on. A week later though I had another dream of this person coming back. Now I’m lost on what to do and need advice and thought this would be the best place for it. What should I do?

I have a suggestion but you would need to be confident about it.

Ask God to confirm His will within say three days. Expect that if it is right something will be arranged by Him that will bring confirmation through some unexpected means.

Want to finally SEE God Answer Prayers?

Ask God to provide the secret to prayer.

I tend towards the idea that we should cling most tightly to God and God alone. If we can give up our attachment to the temporal, then we can fully embrace the eternal. A reliance on relationships is one of those temporal things that hinder us from a selfless heart.

Jesus made some very difficult statements concerning following him.

"25 Many people were traveling with Jesus. He said to them, 26 “If you come to me but will not leave your family, you cannot be my follower. You must love me more than your father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters—even more than your own life! 27 Whoever will not carry the cross that is given to them when they follow me cannot be my follower." Luke 14:25-27

I think it is only when we become truly selfless that we can be of the most value to those around us. It is counter-intuitive to some degree, but after a lot of reflection, I can see the wisdom in it.

What interests me is what the substance of those dreams were. I've always had a fascination with dreams and the symbols in dreams. Our minds wrestle with those symbols in our dream state and I don't see them as necessarily premonitions of a future event, but the subconscious coming to terms with paradoxical feelings.

It's considered general housekeeping of the brain and helps with memory.

Prayer changes you so that you have exactly what God has in mind.
Isn't that a better request in the long run?
