Heres one idea...
Jesus / God ignores our bad behaviour and waits for glimpses of the divine in us. I often hear "God loves us so much.." doesn't that mean He loves that special part of us, that even we are not aware of? that we are blind to? because only he can see it...and if we were to fully see it, would die of shock. then in the afterlife we discover why God loved us so much, because our own treasure is revealed to us ??
maybe this is what the mystics were onto...I don't know...

The treasure in the believer is Christ. God sees Christ in us, the hope of glory. We died and our lives are hid in Christ with God. We are precious to God because He created us. Believers are especially precious because of Jesus in us. Unbelievers are destined for wrath. Believers are already acceptable in the Beloved.

Remember that those God loves, He also disciplines. God wants everything that dishonours Him out of our lives. He knows how destructive those things are to us. Jesus came to set the captives free. We were all born prisoners of sin and under the law of sin and death. Freedom is available in Christ alone.

He did not say that. Please reread what was said slower and really think about it.
  • Romans 3:23 Tells us that ALL of humanity has sinned and ALL fall short of the glory of God.
  • God is absolute HOLINESS and can not allow sin to be in His presence.
  • The wages of sin is death, eternal separation from God, "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." . Romans 6:23
  • "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
  • When we decide to recognize, admit, and confess our sin and personally accept God's free gift of salvation through what only Jesus could do to earn God's favor and forgiveness for us we become a saved new creation in Christ and become an adopted child of God. We are redeemed in the sight of God exclusively by FAITH in what Jesus did on our behalf, not in ANY humanly perceived goodness in and of ourselves. Our most righteous acts or good deeds are perceived by God as "filthy rags" and the context of those rags is menstrual rags used in a day of no disposables or laundry machines and in a hot climate. Ro 5:8; Ephes 2:8-9; 2 Cor 5:17; Jn 1:12; Gal 3:26; Isa 64:6

John 10
"17The reason the Father loves Me is that I lay down My life in order to take it up again."

As someone pointed out, He doesn't ignore our bad behavior, He disciplines us.

*Hebrews 5
" 8Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered. 9And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him."

thats a narrow view sir...but actually I do respect the Bible anyway
I respectfully disagree. Actually, you call yourself a "Christian" Seeker. You are on a Christian site which in its parameters regards the Bible as God's Inspired Word. If you are a Christian as you say and a Seeker then, if you respected God's Word just as it is understood to be on this site and there is no way which you could be a Christian without its tremendous validity impacting your life, you would be OPEN as opposed to closed to its consideration and validity.
