Why abortion is NOT & never has been "a single issue" in voting

for one, when you abort a human being, you are taking away EVERY single right that person is supposed to have under our US Constitution in one VIOLENT, unjust act.

Then there is the fact that legalized abortion is specifically against said Constitution. In the Bill of Rights we are told that all men are created equal and have the "RIGHT TO LIFE, liberty..."[emphasis added]

For another thing, when you take the right to live away from one group of people, it will not be long until other groups are included.. which is what happened in Nazi Germany.

Since Roe v Wade (assuming you need to be persuaded of this) we have had several states legalize "assisted suicide" and as many of us predicted, that has led to virtually-coerced "suicide," which is basically... shall we say "murder lite"

An example comes to mind: I heard a true story about a woman in OR who was a little forgetful but did not have Alzheimer's (not that that matters). Her daughter encouraged her to do assisted suicide. So t hey went to one psych dr. who said.. No, the mother doesn't want to die. the daughter wanted her mother dead so she could inherit [whatever, can't recall, but whatever the mother had] and so she took her reluctant mother to another dr. who OK assisted suicide. the woman was put to death against her will

So, yeh... not exactly a single issue at voting time

Some people do consider it the "single" most impactful issue,
though scripture does not. People who have been through the
experience understand it's complexity completely.
About 1 in 40 births are to a 15 year old.

If you refuse to adopt every unwanted child, you have complicated the issue.
If you refuse to fund every unwanted child, you have complicated the issue.
If you refuse to preserve every fertilized egg, you have complicated the issue.

First off "Right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" is in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. The Fifth and Fourteenth amendments come closer with "No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law." But here's the thing. The Constitution doesn't restrict the act of individuals, it restricts the act of the government.

And regarding your assisted suicide thing, can you document that story you've heard? Saying "I heard a story once" without being able to prove it or even provide details doesn't lend itself to being a credible argument.

you know this doesn't make sense, don't you? How can one person "adopt every 'unwanted' child..." etc?

Christians should find this issue a no-brainer

The Word says "Thou shalt not murder" (the word "kill" would forbid us from killing animals as well, which God never intended since.. See Passover rituals and etc)

The devil is called the father of lies and a murderer. The Word says that if you are even merely ANGRY with someone (call someone a fool) you are in d anger of Hell fire (how much more so if you physically murder someone?).

Then it says Whoever hates his brother is a murderer...so merely hating someone is a form of murder...

Love your neighbor in the womb as you love yourself

I read this story in a newspaper years ago. I am sure you can find that or similar stories on-line, but also, if people consider themselves followers of Christ, they should read comments I made in my last post (right before this one). Again, according to the Word, even merely hating someone is "murder" and those who do are called Murderers. So how much more so taking away someone's whole life...

You don't have to adopt every one. You can stop at three and I will honor you at 3. But not until then.

You need to consider real life outside of Paradise:

Lina Medina. Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈlina meˈðina]; born 23 September 1933) is a Peruvian woman who became the youngest confirmed mother in history, giving birth at age five years, seven months, and 21 days.

The youngest dad became a father at the age of 13. No one ever thought the baby could be about 7 pounds and 4. Sean Stewart 12-year old boy became a father to Ben Louis who was born on January 20, 1998.

Colombia An unidentified childs pregnancy was revealed by a policeman who became suspicious in early September 2004 when he noticed the girl's swollen abdomen and thought she was being exploited by drug smugglers. After the girl had X-rays done, the officer told her mother that the girl was pregnant; the hospital confirmed she was at her 32nd week of pregnancy. The girl revealed that when she had gone to a pharmacy in Ciudad Bolívar, to fetch her sick mother's medicine, an employee there raped her. She gave birth at the Meissen Hospital.[18] Age of mother: 8 years,5 months

I did find the story, and surprise surprise, it wasn't what you made it out to be. The woman did have mild dementia. She also had terminal cancer and was already dying. She was the one who made the request and also asked for the second opinion.

And as for the rest, you can assist somebody in dying without hating them. Some people see it as a an art of mercy and compassion.

"Thou shalt not murder"

Daniel 3
28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

29 Therefore I make a decree,

That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

Deuteronomy 21:18-21
“If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

Leviticus 24:16
Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death.
All the congregation shall stone him.
The sojourner as well as the native,
when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

Leviticus 20:13
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death;
their blood is upon them.

Leviticus 20:27
“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”

Exodus 31:15
Six days shall work be done,
but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest,
holy to the Lord.

Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death.

Deuteronomy 22:23-24
“If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets
her in the city and lies with her, then you shall
bring them both out to the gate of that city,
and you shall stone them to death with stones,
the young woman because she did not cry for
help though she was in the city, and the man
because he violated his neighbor's wife.
So you shall purge the evil from your midst.

Numbers 15:32-36
While the people of Israel were in the wilderness,

they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.

And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation. They put him in custody, because it had not been made clear what should be done to him. And the Lord said to Moses, “The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Leviticus 20:2
“Say to the people of Israel, Any one of the people of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel
who gives any of his children to Molech
shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.

Leviticus 20:10
“If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor,
both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

1 Kings 21:10
And set two worthless men opposite him, and let them bring a charge against him, saying, ‘You have cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out and stone him to death.”

Deuteronomy 17:6
On the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses the one who is to die shall be put to death; a person shall not be put to death on the evidence of one witness.

1. The Flood (Genesis 6-8)
2. The cities of the plain, including Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18-19)
3. The Egyptian firstborn sons during the Passover (Exodus 11-12)
4. The Canaanites under Moses and Joshua (Numbers 21:2-3; Deuteronomy 20:17; Joshua 6:17, 21)
5. The Amalekites annihilated by Saul (1 Samuel 15)

Jesus came to the world

He taught us a better way, the way of Turn the other cheek, the way of not resisting those who do evil.. the way of forgiving and praying for our enemies

As we forgive and love those who choose differently.
We forgive them their pain and suffering and it's results.

In late December 2011, Antônio Lisboa Filho, age 28, discovered that his ten-and-a-half-year-old daughter, whom he had been raping regularly since she was eight, was 4 months pregnant. He fled from Coroatá, Maranhão with his wife Maria Alves Conceição and their other children, abandoning the girl with her maternal grandmother. Francisca Maria Conceição, the grandmother, alerted authorities of the rape and the parents' subsequent escape. As the pregnancy had advanced past the legal cut-off date for abortions, the girl delivered the baby via cesarean section in early May 2012, a month before term.[175] According to police testimony, the man is also suspected of raping the girl's 8-year-old sister.[176]

we are not called to love sin

In the Word it says God's eyes are too pure to look upon sin

therefore, he does not look upon US

(unless we are IN Christ 100%)

God only judges our hearts and never outward actions, like people do.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Our outward appearances are not sin.

never?

who told you that?

God does judge our actions. All through the Bible, which i have read in its entirety, it says that we are judged by our deeds. And yes, i speak of the New T not just the Old

It's weird to hear Democratic (Staff Edit) Politicians talk about rights and equality, when they don't care about a babies rights, or equality for them.

It's Ironic that the people(Democratic (Staff Edit) Politicians) that are for Abortion have life, and yet they destroy others that don't.

well, where's thee equality in that?

yes, I have been evangelizing about that kind of thing.. The Left whine about equality all the time. I hear terms like "food equality" Great, poor people should have access to nutritious food as well as the rich.

But of course the same people who talk about such equality justify the inequality involved in legalized abortion where only ONE person has rights and worse, the right to destroy another, to t ake that person's ALL

sickening
