Why abortion is NOT & never has been "a single issue" in voting
for one, when you abort a human being, you are taking away EVERY single right that person is supposed to have under our US Constitution in one VIOLENT, unjust act.
Then there is the fact that legalized abortion is specifically against said Constitution. In the Bill of Rights we are told that all men are created equal and have the "RIGHT TO LIFE, liberty..."[emphasis added]
For another thing, when you take the right to live away from one group of people, it will not be long until other groups are included.. which is what happened in Nazi Germany.
Since Roe v Wade (assuming you need to be persuaded of this) we have had several states legalize "assisted suicide" and as many of us predicted, that has led to virtually-coerced "suicide," which is basically... shall we say "murder lite"
An example comes to mind: I heard a true story about a woman in OR who was a little forgetful but did not have Alzheimer's (not that that matters). Her daughter encouraged her to do assisted suicide. So t hey went to one psych dr. who said.. No, the mother doesn't want to die. the daughter wanted her mother dead so she could inherit [whatever, can't recall, but whatever the mother had] and so she took her reluctant mother to another dr. who OK assisted suicide. the woman was put to death against her will
So, yeh... not exactly a single issue at voting time
