IF you're concerned about Losing your salvation, then you haven't committed the "unforgivable sin". If you HAD, you'd no longer care.
This. It's complete and final rejection of the Spirit. If you did it, you would no longer care about your soul, IMO.

So I still have the Holy Spirit in my life since I still care about my soul and Jesus. Is that why Pastor Nathan said he sees the fruit of the Holy Spirit in my life?

Look, you would "hate" absolutely "hate" God, openly and very much intensely, and would fully know who you were hating and would be speaking open blasphemies against, and would be doing it... (be speaking open blasphemies against that one, full well knowing it, and would be doing it anyway, with absolutely no guilt, remorse, or shame, etc)... So, if your not "being that" or are not "doing that", then your just fine, OK...

But that time is coming, if it is not already for some right now even right now, but that time is coming and will get worse, and get very bad for believers in God and true followers of God at that time...

It/that will be one of the signs that we are truly in end times, at that time, etc...

God Bless!

Based on your definition the Yellow Cross I saw in the hallucination wasn't blasphemy of the Holy Spirit since I don't openly hate God I love God. So I didn't blaspheme the Holy Spirit in the hallucination of the yellow light and my name is still in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Blasphemy and Apostasy are often confused and people overlap the Scriptural truths about both.

Blasphemy

Blasphemy has to be one of the most misunderstood things in Scripture in my view. Many consider blasphemy one thing and one thing only, suicide. I would give anything to understand where that originated. No person has been able to show me Scripture, which supports this view.

The word “blasphemy” appears fourteen times in the King James Bible, which is the text used to trace words back to their original meaning in the Hebrew or Greek Language. Of those, fourteen times it appears twice in the Old Testament and twelve times in the New Testament. The definition for the two times it appears in the Old Testament is the same. The definition for the twelve times it appears in the New Testament is the same, with one exception; Matthew 26:65, which is an account of the same scene with Jesus and this text simply adds more layers to the definition.

Blasphemy against God can be one of the most serious spiritual crimes a person can commit. The only sin Jesus stated there would be no forgiveness for if committed against the Spirit. Hear His words from Matthew 12:31 [Jesus speaking] “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit [KJV reads “against the Holy Ghost”] will not be forgiven men.” Since this act is so grave, please take the time to carefully review all the definitions below so you will have a deep and rich understanding of what blasphemy is and hence, be better equipped to avoid this most grievous sin.

Here is the definition, from the Greek language, of the word “blasphemy” in this verse and its other appearances in the New Testament.

988. blasfhmiva blaspheµmia, blas-fay-me´-ah; from 989; vilification (espec. against God):— blasphemy, evil speaking, railing.

989. blavsfhmo" blaspheµmoás, blas´-fay-mos; from a der. of 984 and 5345; scurrilous, i.e. calumnious (against man), or (spec.) impious (against God):— blasphemer (-mous), railing.

To bring clarity to the words vilification, scurrilous, calumnious, impious, and railing here are the meanings of the words vilify, scurrilous, calumny, impious, and rail .

vilify =

malign somebody: to make malicious and abusive statements about somebody

[15th century. < late Latin vilificare "hold cheap" < Latin vilis "worthless"]

scurrilous

1. abusive or defamatory: containing abusive language or defamatory allegations

2. foul-mouthed or vulgar: using or containing coarse, vulgar, or obscene language

3. wicked: behaving in ways thought to be evil or immoral

calumny

1. defamation: the making of false statements about somebody with malicious intent

2. defamatory statement: a slanderous statement or false accusation

[15th century. < Latin calumnia "false accusation" < calvi "deceive"]

impious

1. showing lack of religious respect: not showing due reverence for God or something holy

2. disrespectful: showing a lack of respect for somebody or something (formal)

rail

denounce or complain bitterly: to denounce, protest against, or attack somebody or something in bitter or harsh language

[15th century. Via French railler "mock, tease" < Old Provençal ralhar "chat, joke" < late Latin ragere "neigh, roar"]

Encarta ® World English Dictionary

Now with a much deeper and fuller understanding of blasphemy let me ask, have you, or anyone you have ever known, been guilty of blasphemy? Additionally, do you believe that the Church, Body of Christ, the world, and Christians really understand what blasphemy truly is and the seriousness of such an act?

Apostasy - Renunciation of Christ

The only unforgivable sin is the sin of apostasy - renouncing Christ.

It has been wrongly taught for years that not accepting Christ as your Savior is the “unforgiveable sin” and yes if you do not accept Christ as your Savior you will go to hell when you die, but it is not “technically” the quote – unquote “unforgivable sin” which is apostasy.

The renunciation of Christ that is apostasy is not something an atheist can do. Many people have a great misunderstanding about what apostasy is and what renouncing Christ is. The only type of person who can commit apostasy, who can truly renounce Christ, is a person who has known Christ. Therefore, a person would have to have been a Christian and then renounced Christ after becoming a Christian in order to commit apostasy.

Apostasy – I John 5 address what we must understand about Christ to be saved, and makes it known that God Himself bears witness of these Truths in our own spirit. Next the issue of praying for those who are in sin is brought into play and we told to pray for all sin except “sin leading to death” a reference to apostasy the highest form of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost because the Spirit has already bore witness in your (a Christian's) spirit of the Truths about Jesus and you (a Christian) later deny them to be true.

True biblical apostasy is a very rare thing to have happen.

Apostasy is a very difficult subject to fully understand and it takes a collection of the Scriptures to address the issue. That said, there is a portion of the book of Hebrews that covers this issue and then in I John 5we are told not to pray for this issue or a person so to speak who has committed apostasy. Note that Hebrews and I John are only a small portion of Scripture that touches on the issue of apostasy.

Please study1 John 5 and Hebrews 5, 6, and 7 with special attention to chapter 6. If you want to better understand it would be best to study the entire book of Hebrews and 1 John.

So what occurred in the Yellow Light was not blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I did not speak against him. So I am okay spirituality.

I am replying here because you have quoted my post.

Please understand that my reply was to jasonMalloy1999's original post which asked, "
what is blasphemy of the holy spirit" my reply was not a commentary or in response to any posting any individual had made since the original posting or poster. I often do not read the various posts that are written in response or as replies to the original posting as we are not to debate other people's posts. I merely give my spiritual insight to the original poster and his or her purpose for posting.

With all explained please know I have not read your post regarding this "Yellow Light" and that was not what I was replying to in my post. I quoted the original posting so people would know what I was replying to in my post.

Hey Jason.. that can be a really hard one. For some its making fun of say healing's or anything related to the gifts of the holy Spirit. To some others it can be just rejecting saying no to that pull you get in your heart by the sweet sweet Holy Spirit to come to Christ. To reject Him. For that there is no forgiveness.

The problem here is..no one can give you verse. They will tell you why its blasphemy yet no verse to back it up. We just look into the word on how the Holy Spirit moves and then speculate. If you have to ask.. you never done it. So the Holy Spirit.. who? If one to ask.. you never have. Kind of hard to sin when your bind. For if you were blind you would have no sin. You say you see your sin remains.

I really believe most have no clue WHO the sweet sweet Holy Spirit is.

I agree with Blade with your post on Blasphemy the Holy Spirit. There is Matthew 12, Mark 3, Luke 12 which Jesus talks about anyone speaking against the Holy Spirit can never have forgiveness. I have been in fear that I blasphemed the Holy Spirit since October 4 I have been really concerned with the Yellow Light I saw but I did not speak against the Holy Spirit so I know that I am forgiven of the action that occurred. Jesus doesn't fully specify it outside of the quote and the Pharisees were comparing his actions to Satan which I did not do and in the case of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit the Pharisees attributed Jesus works to Satan and his miracles and later the Pharisees asked for a sign about what occurred and Jesus was rightfully anyone and told them about the days of Jonah.

Can the sin still be committed today? I have certainly been afraid that I committed it an a hallucination? I know that is a verbal sin and the hallucination was not verbal but it feels real. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit I know is to attribute the works of the Holy Spirit to Satan and it happened when the pharisees did as you stated in Matthew 12. I was reading the passage today and it sort of eased my fear that I committed the sin as I did not verbally attribute the Holy Spirit and Satan it was a hallucination it is a long story and I am trying to move past it. I already suffer from OCD Scrupulosity and I asked Jesus for forgiveness about the hallucination.
You would NOT be asking for forgiveness if you committed this sin

Thanks Bob so the Yellow Light/Cross was simply a hallucination that came from Mental Illness and not the Mark of the Beast it was just a hallucination and the Holy Spirit is still active despite the Blue Light it is just a hallucination that I am suffering from.

Yup, you can take that to the bank!!!! since the "enemy" may be involved, it's a good idea to RESIST his lies, and tell him to take his garbage OUT of your life, and to quit bothering you with it. Biblically if you RESIST the enemy, he's got to flee. I've been A Christian for 54 years, and I still have to occasionally tell him to stick his garbage where the sun don't shine -

Thanks Bob people see the Holy Spirit in my life and I trust them. The only way to get your name removed from the Tree of Life or Book of Life is changing the prophecies of Revelation which I have not done. I truly believe that Jesus can forgive me for accidentally mixing up Satan and Jesus in a hallucination he forgave Peter and Paul for worse things and Jesus allowed the prodigal son to return. I just need to trust Jesus forgiveness and move on with my life.
