Presence of God

Powerfully profound picture and verse (and timely).

As i remember those many times i should've probably died or faced all kinds of evil and/or destruction, i am rendered contemplative and deeply thankful that He was ALWAYS "with" me. His grace just seemed to be oceans deep and never-ending. He did NOT ever leave nor forsake me and He even at times seemed to "hide" me from danger, just as it is written that He will "hide" us in the cleft of a Rock.

He IS a GOOD Shepherd and a Father that has His eye continually on us, just as He promises, as He is guiding us, and swerving us away from, or even "hiding" us from evil and danger.

Thank you for this blessing of a reminder of how God's "grip" on us NEVER EVER "lessens" or "eases". He KNOWS what we face on this journey, and He ain't goin' NO WHERE.

And i am eternally thankful that He ain't.

Corrie Ten Boom comes to mind. She fully believed that God was her heavenly Father and TRUSTED Him as a child would trust a very loving earthly father. She comes to mind for me, because i didn't have a sane or loving earthly father, and i was opposed to ANY "father", including a "heavenly Father". Yet He NEVER EVER lost patience with me nor got angry. He ohhh soooo patiently "taught" me Who HE was, and that HE is what a GOOD Father is.

It was on a SAturday, and i was cleaning. It was in the spring, so the windows were open, and as i was looking for a hymn of some kind on Youtube, i accidentally came across a video that i sat and watched as i absorbed the our Creator, is "my" Father. Really, He IS. I was in awe. As i was contemplating this, i talked to Him, and then as i continued cleaning, i heard a "whoosh". I didn't pay much attention, but then i heard the "whoosh" again. As i followed the sound, it came to a window, and looking up, on a chimney stack, was a falcon. It looked at me for a brief moment, and then, just as quickly as it had come, it "whooshed" off.

i knew now, that this truly was my Father, sending me confirmation that He IS my Father, and that my Father "delights" in "delighting" me. THIS is the kind of Father He is.

This verse also comes to mind, and it was right about that time that i discovered this verse and absorbed what it meant:

"The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." ~Zeph 3:17

How delightful is THAT??!!
