I don't feel sorry for Trump!

Then why should we?

I believe he is reaping a life of sin and the merciful Saviour is showing him his ego, which is at least the size of Texas.

Seems to me that his sin is being rewarded, not reaped.

I believe the end result of this will be his salvation. That's what I'm hoping for.

Doesn't he have to ask for salvation first?

I leave all this out of the picture when I enter the ballot box. I look at the Word of God and what I believe He wants for America.

This is all part and parcel to your faith... if you leave it out of the picture at the ballot box, one might ask where else you leave it out of the picture.

If you believe I am wrong, I will agree to disagree!

Clearly we will have to do just that.

Clearly we will have to do just that.

Not asking you to feel sorry for Trump.

Not asking you to vote for Trump.

Just asking that you treat him fairly.

We are all sinners before a Holy God.

I totally and completely disagreed with Obama. I had to contain myself when his wife said "all this for a flag." I couldn't believe when I was told he sent hundreds of millions in cash by night to a country that chants "death to America." I was in disbelief when he shoved Obamacare down our throats and used Polosi to say, we will have to pass it to see what's in it. I applauded when the congressman stood in the state of the union address and called Obama a liar.

But I have never called for him to be removed from office because of these and several other things.

If you hate Trump because of what he says, I'm afraid you have missed the point of the free election we have here in America.

Finally, the man who has a reputation for getting things done has arrived!

You may have noticed that he arrived 3 years ago, and had both houses of Congress and did diddly squat with it.

Not asking you to feel sorry for Trump.

No?

Wonder what your attitude would be if you had faced all the opposition as Trump from some folks who can't get over the fact they lost an election fair and square?

Coulda fooled me.

Not asking you to vote for Trump.

Just asking that you treat him fairly.

Just as soon as he hands over his birth certificate... ;)

We are all sinners before a Holy God.

Yeah. So?

I totally and completely disagreed with Obama. I had to contain myself when his wife said "all this for a flag."

Was he wrong?

I couldn't believe when I was told he sent hundreds of millions in cash by night to a country that chants "death to America."

Were you told that it was their money all along, and returning it was a condition of the deal that was brokered?

I was in disbelief when he shoved Obamacare down our throats and used Polosi to say, we will have to pass it to see what's in it.

Were you aware of the full context, or did you just think as you were told to?

I applauded when the congressman stood in the state of the union address and called Obama a liar.

But of course you did. Treating the president fairly wasn't a high priority back then.

But I have never called for him to be removed from office because of these and several other things.

Because Obama never broke the law or violated his oath of office, did he?

Would you have called for it if you thought he had?

No?

Then why be upset over the other stuff?

If you hate Trump because of what he says, I'm afraid you have missed the point of the free election we have here in America.

I do indeed think Donald is a completely despicable human being... but that's not why I think he should be removed. I think he should be removed because he broke the law... sadly, his supporters can't seem to (or don't want to) differentiate between the two.

I've said it before and I'll happily say it again:

Donald is NOT being impeached because a lot of people hate him.

He WAS booed at the World Series because a lot of people hate him.

He WAS booed at UFC 244 because a lot of people hate him.

He WAS disinvited from the state funerals of McCain and Cummings (and most likely won't be invited to any future state funeral... except his own) because a lot of people hate him.

BUT... He's being impeached because the House believes that he violated his oath of office... NOT because a lot of people hate him.

So why have a trial? He's been proven guilty by you and those who hate him.

We who have doubts about that have no say, right?

As I said before, when you pull the plug on the swamp all kinds of creatures come out for blood.

But Trump will not only withstand the whirlwind from the left, he will have 4 more years.

If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were feeling sorry for him...

We who have doubts about that have no say, right?

Now who are you trying to drum up sympathy for?

As I said before, when you pull the plug on the swamp all kinds of creatures come out for blood.

You actually believe that Donald was trying to drain the swamp... and not just take it over?

That's adorable.

But Trump will not only withstand the whirlwind from the left, he will have 4 more years.

Such high praise...

How much prosperity excuses him from illegal acts? What is the price for Americans to look the other way?

I think it was a good indication the nation is divided, and should be laid to rest in a court of law.

But that will not happen, as long as some believe their opinion matters more than the 63 million+ who voted Trump in office.

Whether the 63 million who voted for him, or the 66 million who voted for the other candidate, both are irrelevant here. What is important is the truth...and Donald treats that like Kryptonite....

Here’s where the “20 pieces of silver” makes an appearance, I think....?

Nah, 20 pieces was what Joseph's brothers got for selling him in slavery (Genesis 37:28)

30 was the going rate for Judas to turn in Jesus...

Donald being Donald, and as such, can't stand the thought of not being #1 at anything, would probably promise 31 pieces... but going by his business record, don't expect him to actually pay up... he'll just bankrupt them in court.

No, not all of them.

I think we will see many of the 66 million changing their minds by November.

After seeing tax cuts and an economy never thought possible, people are not willing to go back to higher taxes and restrictions that will bring the economy back to a halt as in the days of Obama.

There's no indication I've seen that a significant majority believe this bit of revisionist history about the economy under Obama.

There are lots of data showing the opposite - that many of Donald's voters have abandoned him once they saw what kind of a leader he actually is.

Foreign policy is rarely reversed because the engine of it, the state department and the Pentagon do not change between administrations and most Presidents are too weak to oppose them. I didn't say that Trump campaigned on Obama's foreign policy, quite the opposite. But George W. Bush also preached a "humble foreign policy" and once in office of course totally reversed his course, mainly because of the Pentagon's influence.
That's great and all, but what does that have to do with Donald ordering his people to hold up foreign aid until a foreign country agreed to interfere in our elections?

And there you have it. Many conservatives think we object to Trump because Hillary didn't win or something like that.

But consider this: Most of us object to Trump because of his policies. We're sorry that a Democrat didn't win the election, yes. Never mind, that's history now. We don't particularly like it that Trump is vulgar and offensive, either. But the real reason is policy. What he tells you is going to make America great again many of us are convinced will wreck the county--and that's the long and short of it.

I disagree.

While you are correct that the reason people are against him is not "he beat Hillary", it's more than just his bad policies and vulgar and offensive decorum. Trump enacts and advocates corruption as long as that corruption benefits him. As a candidate, he bragged about bribing politicians. Almost immediately upon swearing his oath as President, he violated that oath by intertwining his business interests with government business. As he continued to grow emboldened, he has made it clear that he welcomes foreign interference in our elections as long as it benefits them, to the point of taking actions directly to obtain that foreign aid. He is more blatantly dishonest than any previous President in my lifetime, and has created a cult of personality, in which his supporters have divorced themselves from actual facts and instead regurgitate the obvious lies that Trump puts forth.

Yes, I believe he will wreck the country (and has been doing so for 3 years), but it stems from far more than simply his policies.

That's great and all, but what does that have to do with Donald ordering his people to hold up foreign aid until a foreign country agreed to interfere in our elections?

That is a characterization not based on the facts. Trump asked the President of the Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden's son and told him to forward the information not to his own political operatives but to the justice department, the lawful entity for taking such referrals. By your own definition, too broad by any measure, investigations into Trump are interfering with elections. Cut it out.
