I don't know that there is any proof of demons creating physical objects. My understanding of demons is that they attempt to persuade people to commit evil acts.

What proof is there that demons can create?

My Bible tells me demons are held in bondage and have no freedom beside that which God grants.

Jude 1:5-7
"Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire."

And I know of nothing in scripture reporting angels or demons have any ability to create.

Well, the Bible says they can work miracles but "proof" is a pretty strong word. Empirically speaking, I'd say none. Of course, if you believe they exist (and I do) it's not hard to imagine them being able to do some pretty impressive tricks with already existing matter.

Is there a difference between fallen angels and demons?

I've read that fallen angels created the nephilim Gen 6 style and the nephilim became the demons. Is that correct? I Don't know.
No one knows with 100% certainty. The Bible does not explicitly say, however it does give circumstantial evidence that, yes, you are most likely correct in your statement.

I believe it's controversial, at best. There are some folks on YouTube playing it to the hilt, though, naturally. Have sensational doctrine, will teach, I always say.

Well you've asked in Traditional Theology.

If you want it moved, we can do that. But many answers here appear speculative. That isn't the way Christianity has tended to answer questions.

First yes, Christianity from apostolic times has taught that demons are fallen angels.

Secondly, the "bodies" of angels and demons are not of the created material realm as humans, animals, plants, and things of the earth and so are created as material. (In the case of humans, we have a material component, but also a spiritual one so that we can have communion with God and there is more important theology there as well having to do with our priesthood over creation.)

Demons and angels can influence the physical realm. But only by permission of God. God SENDS holy angels to do what they do. Demons are restrained and can only do what God allows them to do. But within these constraints, spiritual beings (angels and demons) can influence the physical/material world.

Demons cannot "create" anything, since that's how you phrased your question. Only God is the creator - all things were created by Him. Without Him, nothing has been made or can be made. Everything else is just manipulation of what God has created.

I hope that helps.

But if the speculative opinions are wanted, this needs to be moved elsewhere so that people don't get in trouble for posting against Traditional Theology's SOP.

This is a great answer! Bless you!
