First, husband and wife BECOME one flesh.
Yes.
Second, find Ephesians 5:30 in context and post it.
Ok...
"28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church." (Eph 5:28-32)

All of us form doctrine based on how we were taught in our respective churches. So I have learned to respect and learn from other's views and understand where they get it from.
What is your view regarding this issue in the first place?
That may be true for some people who "grew up" in a particular church and were taught certain things from a young age. But some folks like myself who did not become Christians until they were adults question everything.

Well, I find that even as adults, we still believe in doctrine that we tend to listen to the most, in Youtube etc.

Over time, we tend to listen to those that agrees with what we already believe in. This is known as confirmation bias.
