I've been too hesitant to watch it, mainly because it's a Netflix production and I don't trust them to portray the Church or it's people in any kind of truly positive or virtuous light. Let alone demonstrate orthodox faith and morals.

I mean, this is the same company that's put out a blasphemous satire film about Christ in a homosexual relationship. It's outrageous.

As fiction it was OK but it got Benedict so wrong. My son saw it and then we watched it last night. I'm not recommending it as anything other than fiction.

Because that is basically what it is. People that like it tend to ignore that though.
