So what you are saying is that the purpose of the Nicene Creed was not to glorify God, it's purpose was to exclude the Arians and the Pneumatomachi.

Its purpose was to declare the received faith of Christ's Church against false teaching. God is glorified in truth, not falsehood.

In fact it was not a revelation from God at all.

The Revelation of God is He who became flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, the One about whom the prophets spoke, and of whom the Apostles preached. The Lord and Savior of the whole world, Jesus Christ.

It did not come from a prophet of God,

Christianity is Christianity, not Islam. Christianity does not rely on prophets, but on the deposit of faith given in the beginning, built upon Christ the One Rock and Foundation.

it is not scripture,

No one claims it is.

it disagrees with what Jesus said:

It does not. On the contrary, it affirms the Lord's own words, that He is one with the Father, that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. Because He ans His Father are of one Being.

(New Testament | John 20:17)

17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Then do you believe that the Father isn't God? After all, it is written in Hebrews 1:8,

"But of the Son [the Father] says, 'Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.'"

The Son refers to the Father as God.
The Father refers to the Son as God.

How can this be? Because the Father and Son are both truly God, homoousios.

For there is only one God,

"I, and I alone, am God; there is no other god." - Deuteronomy 32:39a
"Hear O Israel, the LORD your God is one LORD." - Deuteronomy 6:4
"Remember the former things of long ago; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me," - Isaiah 46:9

And there are three who are called God.

The Father,
"yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist," - 1 Corinthians 8:6a
"that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him," - Ephesians 1:17

the Son,
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." - John 1:1
"This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to have Him killed, because not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God." - John 5:18
"I and the Father are one." - John 10:30
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were made, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were made through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the Church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent." - Colossians 1:15-19
"For in Him the whole fullness of Deity dwells bodily," - Colossians 2:9
"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He made the ages. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His Hypostasis, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power." - Hebrews 1:1-3a
"But of the Son He says, 'Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom." - Hebrews 1:8
"waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ," - Titus 2:13

and the Holy Spirit.
"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in She'ol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me." - Psalms 139:7-10
"For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God." - 1 Corinthians 2:11
"But Peter said, 'Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man, but to God.'" - Acts of the Apostles 5:3-4

And so, as is said in the Quicumque Vult (aka the Athanasian Creed), "We worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity, neither confusing the Persons, nor dividing the Substance."

For the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God,
But not three gods, but one God.

For the Father is Lord, the Son is Lord, and the Holy Spirit is Lord,
But not three lords, but one Lord.

For the Father is Almighty, the Son is Almighty, and the Holy Spirit is Almighty,
But not three almighties, but one Almighty.

For the Father is Eternal, the Son is Eternal, and the Holy Spirit is Eternal,
But not three eternals, but one Eternal.

For there is One God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of the Father, begotten not made, begotten before all ages, God of God; and one Holy Spirit, Lord and Life-Giver, who proceeds from the Father. The All-Glorious Most Holy, and Sublime and Eternal Holy Trinity: God. Beside whom and other than there is none. There is none before or after, beside or neart. Beyond all things, through all things, in Whom are all things. For in Him we move and breathe and have our very existence. The Maker and Sustainer of all. Alpha and Omega, First and Last, Beginning and End; the Everlasting, the I AM.

Only time will tell who the true Father and Son and Holy Spirit are. Because both of our positions are very solid and we both use the bible for our source.

But Peter---you do not use only the bible as your source---you use JS and your prophets whenever there is any question. It is really the prophets you listen to, not the bible. You will not find this in the bible

"If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."

You said: "Then do you believe that the Father isn't God?"

God the Father is our God and Father:

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 8:6)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

(New Testament | Romans 15:6)

6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(New Testament | John 20:17)

17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

(New Testament | Matthew 23:8 - 9)

8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

(New Testament | John 5:37)

37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

(New Testament | John 14:28)

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

So how is Jesus one with the Father?:

(New Testament | John 17:20 - 26)

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 8:3)

3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

(New Testament | 1 John 2:5 - 6)

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

(New Testament | 1 John 4:7 - 8)

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Yes Jesus Christ is a God as is the Holy Spirit and they are one in unity as I have shown. We also have a divine nature and can also become one with them as stated in the Bible.

Nope. Not a God. The God.

There's only one God.

Yes it is---and the problem is that you also believe that our Father had a Father and He had a Father---and you say you only serve the one God the Father---but behind it all is the concept that there are many Fathers and one day---you will be the Father of your own planet. You say it doesn't affect---it's bound to. We are what we believe in. And you want to be God's and you believe in a heavenly mother an say she has no bearing on your faith, but how can she not color your thinking. It seems that most of you are not facing the realities of your faith in your efforts to sound "Christian," so you can convert others. It feels dishonest at the very core. How can you have a real, true walk with the Lord experience when you don't even know the real one---you know---the one that is all powerful and created from nothing and is the one and only God the Father that ever existed and has only One God the Son and that none of us ever existed before being born---it is all a part of you and you wish to downplay it all the time and not tell the truth about it. You can scream it at the top of your lungs that your God and mine are the same God---but they are not!!! You can not have the true experience when you do not know the true God!! Yes---the bible makes it plain as day---but your prophets have muddied the wasters and turned days into night. God calls---but you do not listen.

When Jesus was on the earth people called Him the deceiver (see John 7:12). They did this because they could not accept the doctrine that He taught. Much of it was new to them. As God reveals more to us there are still those who will not accept it. If you believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord God, then you know that He has a Father. God the Father is His God and His Father. The important thing is to LOVE God and keep His commandments. This is what will save us.

Yes---the true God the Father and the True God the Son and the true commandments that God said to follow not the commandments of any church. Commandments do not save anyone---Jesus Christ does. The real Jesus that created everything from nothing and is the one and Only Son of the One and Only Father who was always God with the Father, and did not come down to earth to become God, but to save us from our sins. Those who do not accept the real Jesus do not have real salvation.

Jesus said that eternal life depends on keeping the commandments of LOVE:

(New Testament | Luke 10:25 - 28)

25 ¶ And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

But you do not keep the commandments of God---0you keep the commandments of men. Of your church, and none of you keep the 4th commandment of God--you keep the 4th of man. And to the 10 commandments of God, you add many requirements that are not a part of the commandments of God. God has no commandment of marriage performed by a Mormon priest in order to spend eternity in His presence. Every single person that is saved will spend eternity with the Father and the Son. You teach a different gospel and only a select few get to spend eternity in the presence of the Father and the Son.

Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

This is for all the saved--not a select few.

7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Prophets have had an extensive role in God's kingdom here on earth. So if you are saying we need no more prophets because we have 1/1000th of the Lords word in the NT, then sorry, you are going to not be informed properly about what the Lord has to say.

We say that if you lived in the first century, and was not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of First-century Saints, the one that Peter was the head of after Christ ascended unto his God, then you would not find salvation, no matter how much you prayed and confessed Jesus and did all kinds of good works.
You had to go to Peter to find salvation, because he was the Vicar of Christ at that time and Jesus left him in charge and gave him and the apostles the keys of the kingdom, so whatever they bound, was bound in heaven and whatever they loosed, was loosed in heaven. This means that if you did not come to Peter, you would not be able to find Jesus, and be bound to him. Only Peter and the apostles could do that, nobody else.
You could not pray to Jesus and then go baptize yourself, for you did not have the binding and loosing power that Peter and the apostles had from Jesus.

Today is no different. JS received from Jesus, those same keys of the kingdom, and there has been an unbroken chain of prophets and apostles since him, all the way to today.

Moses gave us the ten commandments from God. Jesus gave us commandments also other ordinances like the sacrament. We should listen to the prophets and keep the word of God as it is given to us. God will not let His prophets lead us away from Him. Man was not made for the Sabbath. We should worship God every day and pray always. Jesus taught that it is right to do good on the Sabbath.

This is hogwash---it was never Peter that saved and has always been Christ that saved. Peter did not die for anyone's sins--Jesus died for everyone's sins. No one needed to go to Peter for salvation! It is the Holy Spirit that leads to Jesus, it was never Peter!! The apostles appointed bishops and deacons and others to do the baptizing. What you are saying is totally way off base and is not in any way consistent with scripture!
Joh_20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
Act_2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Act_4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

No prophet was ever the way to God---he was used by God to warn, call, reprove, inform---they can not, and never have, saved anyone!! JS has saved no one. No prophet has--no man or woman ever has. Jesus alone saves!!!

You can't keep Sabbath every day---you'd starve to death. The Sabbath involves not working and also involves doing your own work 6 days a week. Jesus only condensed the 10---Mat_22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

No, God's prophets do not lead away from God---false prophets always have.

Mormons ignore Hebrews 1:1-2!

Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Jesus Christ was always and is always the head of every Christian on earth! He will NEVER be replaced by a prophet.

The origin of the metaphor is the prohibition of putting a stumbling block before the blind (Leviticus 19:14). Geoffrey W. Bromiley calls the image "especially appropriate to a rocky land like Palestine".[1] In the Hebrew Bible, the term for "stumbling block" is Biblical Hebrew miḵšōl (מִכְשׁוֹל‎). In the Septuagint, miḵšōl is translated into Koine Greek skandalon (σκανδαλον), a word which occurs only in Hellenistic literature, in the sense "snare for an enemy; cause of moral stumbling".[2] In the Septuagint Psalms 140:9 a stumbling block means anything that leads to sin.[3]

The New Testament usages of skandalon, such as Matthew 13:41, resemble Septuagint usage.[3] It appears 15 times in the New Testament in 12 unique verses according to Strong's Concordance. These passages are:[4] Matthew 13:41, Matthew 16:23 , Matthew 18:7 (3 times), Luke 17:1 , Romans 9:33, Romans 11:9, Romans 14:13, Romans 16:17, 1 Corinthians 1:23, Galatians 5:11, 1 Peter 2:8, 1 John 2:10, and Revelation 2:14.
Stumbling block - Wikipedia

1 Peter 2 KJV

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Ephesians 2
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

It is so hard to see truth without the vision that God gives to spiritually blind people.

For us there is only one God, the Father:

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 8:6)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

The Father is also the God of Jesus Christ:

(New Testament | John 20:17)

17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Why does everyone find that so hard to understand when the Bible makes it as plain as day?????

None of us are saying the Father isn't the one and only God--in fact we Trinitarians keep saying this.

It's your church which denies this.

Our churches quite adamantly confess this, that "We believe in one God, the Father Almighty".

So none of us have a problem with the oneness and unity of God, and of confessing this truth.

The question isn't why we have a problem understanding this--because we do, in fact, it is our very profession of faith--the question is why does your church deny this?

Because We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things seen and unseen.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, very God from very God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through Him all things were made. Who for us men and our salvation came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate by the Virgin Mary, and became human. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son], who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
We confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come. Amen

Doctors have to work every day. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and so do they. So should doctors be put to death?:

(Old Testament | Exodus 31:15)

15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
