I believe that there will be events that will typify the time of the

• Hi Joel talks about the great day of the LORD which seems to extend to the tribulation that transitions into the millennium and notes that they have divided His land.

Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land.

In Zech 14 we see Jerusalem is being overrun on the day the LORD comes with His saints. It notes that only half of the city is taken captive. Perhaps the two states solution comes about and half the city in not in control of Israel.

The key to the main point of this prophecy is that in the middle of the week of this covenant the daily sacrifices are stopped. Now Hosea relates the return of the kingdom comes after many days without sacrifices or a king. 2 Thess two states that the man of sin is to be revealed right at the time of the end and he will be revealed in the Temple claiming to be a God and perform lying signs and wonders. This one is destroyed by the brightness of the LORD's coming.

Jesus warned when we see the abomination of desolation occur to flee. It seems likely that the man of sin being revealed is speaking of this same abomination of desolation.

Rev 13 shows that the beast who also is destroyed at the brightness of the coming of the LORD has authority over every tribe tongue kindred and nation for 42 months.

So to tie it together the middle of the week if in years would be exactly 42 months. The covenant is certainly between Israel and the many. The fact that the sacrifice being stopped in the middle of the week is super significant. So there is some connection with the return of the sacrifice and the subsequent stopping of them related to this. On the political side the UN, Vatican, Russia, France and even Trump and Kushner are pushing some sort of two state solution. This is all going to coincide with the man of sin being revealed who will reign 42 months then the LORD comes as predicted.

The "covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles" written of by the prophet Isaiah (Isa. 42:6).

The commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem (Dan. 9:25) went forth by King Artaxerxes to Ezra in 458 BC (Ezr. 7). The first year of King Artaxerxes was 465 BC according to Ptolemy's Canon of Kings, so the seventh year of his reign was 458 BC.

Forty-nine years later (7x7=49) Jerusalem was built, with the street and the wall, even in troublesome times.

Jesus Christ was anointed in the Jordan River sixty-two weeks later (62x7=434) in AD 26. After sixty-two weeks He was cut off, but not for himself. He confirmed the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he caused the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, by being crucified three Passovers after his ministry began, in AD 30.

The three Passovers recorded were:

John 6:4
John 11:55

The Council of Jerusalem was in AD 50. Paul wrote in Gal. 1:18 and Gal. 2:1 that it was 17 years (3+14) from his conversion until the Council of Jerusalem, which puts his conversion at AD 33. Jesus confirmed the "covenant with many" by revealing Himself in Paul so that he might preach among the Gentiles.

Isaiah 42:6–7 reads, "I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

"To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house."

So the seven years prophesied in Dan. 9:27 was fulfilled by Christ's baptism in AD 26, his crucifixion and resurrection in AD 30, to Paul's conversion in AD 33.

Dan. 9:26 goes further by saying, "and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined."

Jesus' people were the lost sheep of Israel. But the Pharisaic Jews were the ones who hung him on the cross. Looking ahead a few hundred years, the Romans became His people. They tolerated Christianity from AD 313 to 1806. Vespasian sent his son, Titus, to destroy the city and sanctuary in AD 70.

Dan. 9:27 reiterates, "and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

After the temple was destroyed in AD 70, the Eastern Roman Empire used it as a trash heap until the Muslims made it into the Dome of the Rock.

The covenant was already confirmed by Jesus through Paul. It is salvation offered to the gentiles. In Romans 15:8–16, Paul writes:

8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

12 And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Paul's conversion was seven years after Jesus' baptism. In the middle of the week Jesus was crucified for our sins. It was Jesus who caused the sacrifice and the oblation to cease because he was the sacrifice for all our sins, not the antichrist. Notice the antichrist/Apollyon/Satan/serpent/dragon/man of sin/lawless one/son of perdition is not mentioned once in Daniel 9. You can't be writing about "Messiah the Prince" in one verse (v. 25), and when in verse 26 it says both "Messiah" for one instance and then "the prince that shall come" in another instance, switch the subject (Messiah) being referred to without grammatically changing the subject. It's the same guy.

The four beasts referred to were four kingdoms that appeared on earth after the fall of the Kingdom of Judah. The Neo-Babylonian Empire was both the first beast and the head of gold from Nebuchadnezzar's dream. The Medo-Persian Empire was both the second beast and the chest and arms of silver. Hellenistic Greece was the third beast and the belly and thighs of bronze. And the Roman Empire was the fourth beast and the legs of iron and feet of mixed iron and clay.

The ten kings, or horns, of the fourth beast were:

Pompey, the first horn, invaded and conquered Judaea from the Greeks in 63 BC. The ten kings you mention, who "had not yet received a kingdom, but for one hour received authority as kings along with the beast," were the Rome-Berlin Axis of 1806–1945. There were exactly ten German (or Prussian) kings from the abdication of the Holy Roman Empire until the end of World War II. There were also exactly seven Italian (or Sardinian) kings during the same time span. One of them was assassinated, and his son took over the throne. These kings had not yet received a kingdom because their former Holy Roman territories were politically divided. They are not the same ten kings in Daniel's vision in chapter 7. If they were, the vision in Daniel 7 would also mention the seven heads mentioned in Revelation 13, as well as the ten crowns. Revelation 13 says the seven heads are seven hills on which the harlot sits, and they are also seven kings. There are seven hills surrounding Rome. They are:

All kings of Germany. The Holy Roman Empire consisted of the territories of Italy and Germany. When that empire fell to Napoleon, the kings fought for the unification of their lands under a new government.

Revelation 13:11 says, "Then I saw another beast come up out of the earth. He had two horns like those of a lamb, but he spoke with the voice of a dragon."

Lambs are innocent and cute and perhaps useful but these two kings are liars.

The five largest tech companies in the world, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon, and Facebook, all depend on the World Wide Web. Investors value these companies at $3.5 trillion.

Facebook is partnering with between three and five major wireless carriers to provide free, basic mobile phone access to everyone on the planet — with the emphasis on developing countries.

Revelation 13:16–17 says, "He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name."

Our phones are essentially idols. We use them for everything. The inventor of the World Wide Web wants "the internet of things," which means your house alarm, thermometer, refrigerator, dish washer, car, etc. will be connected and controlled with the internet on your phone. It sounds neat but our phones have become idols. In some cases, they are the closest thing to God as people will get.

It's the New Covenant confirmed by Jesus in the middle of the 70th week. That ended sacrifice and offering as Jesus became what the Passover Lamb, Day of Atonement, Feast Days, Sabbath Days, and all sin offerings were symbolizing.

Jesus...the lamb slain from the foundation of the world!!!

The prophecy at Daniel 9:24-27 points to the appearance of the Messiah at the start of the 70th “week” of years (Daniel 9:25) and his sacrificial death in the middle or “at the half” of the final week, thereby ending the validity of the sacrifices and gift offerings under the Law covenant. (Daniel 9:26, 27; compare Hebrews 9:9-14; 10:1-10.) This would mean a ministry of three and a half years’ duration (half of a “week” of seven years) for Jesus Christ.

The “covenant” could not be the Law covenant, for Christ’s sacrifice, three and a half years after the 70th “week” began, resulted in its removal by God: “He has taken it [the Law] out of the way by nailing it to the torture stake.” (Colossians 2:14) Also, “Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law…The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham might come to be by means of Jesus Christ for the nations.” (Galatians 3:13, 14) God, through Christ, did extend the blessings of the Abrahamic covenant to the natural offspring of Abraham, excluding the Gentiles until the gospel was taken to them through Peter’s preaching to the Italian Cornelius. (Acts 3:25, 26; 10:1-48) This conversion of Cornelius and his household occurred after the conversion of Saul of Tarsus, which is generally considered to have taken place in about 34 C.E.; after this the congregation enjoyed a period of peace, being built up. (Acts 9:1-16, 31) It appears, then, that the bringing of Cornelius into the Christian congregation took place about the autumn of 36 C.E., which would be the end of the 70th “week,” 490 years from 455 B.C.E.
