Six months into his papacy, Pope Francis sent shock waves through the Roman Catholic church on Thursday with the publication of his remarks that the church had grown “obsessed” with abortion, gay marriage and contraception, and that he had chosen not to talk about those issues despite recriminations from critics.
Good grief! So one man Trump has done his best to back up the pro-life position of saving babies from being murdered by trying to get Conservative judges on the bench and the other party or group largely backs the abortion issue.

Not to worry though. I truly don't think Catholics take too seriously anything the man says. I question how much influence he really does have over how Catholics think. Pope's may have had such influence back in the old days but currently....don't think much at least in my opinion.
Would like to see what Catholics would really say about this? Do Popes really and truly change your way of thinking or do you stay more so in what you perceive the Bible is saying itself? Sincere question. Just wondering.
If you follow the Breitbart article to its source, there is little doubt the rendering is accurate. The pope's comments, about half an hour's worth, have been transcribed at length.
What's more, I find that these words are his is highly plausible.

I just checked out the pope with obama, and what you says seems to have at least some validity. But Francis has been antagonistic to Trump and to the Wall since Day One, and in general has hardly been apolitical. Not for nothing but from what I understand heads of state like the Pope and the British Crown often pose like Francis is in that photo because they never want to give the impression that they're casting political support behind a foreign leader or political figure. There's a similar photo of Elizabeth II with Trump, and I believe photos of former President Obama with both of them can be found where they're standing further away with a frown on their faces.
Facepalm.
Trump will probably retaliate by tweet if he hasn't already. Two people who should think before they speak.I wish I had something charitable to say but I don't.
