THE JOY TAKERS

When we first come to Christ we come with open arms. We have no doubt that Jesus is the only way. Filled with an inexpressible joy in our new found love. So excited that someone gave us everything when we had nothing. We fell to our knees in reverence of the one who died so we could have life. Faith alone in Christ alone was not something we would ever question or doubt, but unfortunately this incredible joy usually only lasts a few months until we get a full on dose of "THEOLOGY". This is where the "joy takers" make their cameo...

The western church and all their denominations fights to claim their next victim. The newborn who needs milk will now fight to escape the jaws of "religion". The joy and power of having their sins forgiven is subtly washed away by a list of human interpretations of salvation. They are not taught that the joy they were experiencing was the "Joy of the Lord", and that their salvation (Jesus) is also their resurrection and their life! The simplicity that is in Christ is walking everyday in the love of Him who paid it all! A deeper understanding of what happened on Calvary (grace of God) and the one who performed this amazing act of love!

I pray that these newborns will see that their first love is also their second, third, fourth, fifth... 365 days a year! He is our all in all: our counselor, our redeemer, our justification, our forgiveness, our love, joy, hope, peace, resurrection and life... And that the 'peace that passes understanding' is not a "theology", but the Prince of Peace who stands and intercedes on our behalf day and night!! Our first love will never stop loving us, and He will always be our LOVE to the end!!!

1 Peter 1:8
whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with JOY INEXPRESSIBLE and FULL OF GLORY,

1 Peter 4:13
but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be GLAD with EXCEEDING JOY.

Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

Grace and Peace....
