Okay here's the deal. I checked it out.
Even though I live in an Archdiocese, only one church has the Latin Mass on Sunday. I've been to this church before. It has perpetual adoration which I like and Confession available several times a day. This is great. The drawback is, this church is extremely old and is not in a very good ( safe) part of town. And I'm not going there without a guy. It is also pretty far from me. I also don't think I will be able to convince my family to go with me.
My second option ( because I can no longer stand the happy clappy), is to be a 'Catholic in exile'. I could worship at my old Lutheran Church with the understanding that I am Catholic and maybe still go to Confession in a nearby parish. I just wouldn't be able to take Communion anywhere. My family would be split on this one.

If you can get to the Latin Mass, that would be great. I hope you can get there. Would public transportation be an option?

Prayers, Beloved. Hope others can give advice and help. I hear you, it's tough. Either way, please take care of your soul. Try to get to Mass at least one Sunday a month at the traditional parish, if possible. Pray, pray the Rosary, stay close to the Saints, keep the faith.

Holy overdrive Batman! Is that correct or did you mean seven days a week?

EDIT: I realize I misread. I thought you said it has Confession seven times a day. I was like woah that's some intense priestly commitment right there!

Go to the Lutheran church if its traditional, that's what I would've done if I where you.
I totally catch your drift. I hate those happy-clappy-pretend-to-be-pentecostal masses too. I hate it so intensely that I'm almost getting nauseous whenever I'm there

I toyed with the idea of going back for a visit or two myself in the past, but then I found a great catholic parish 50 kilometers away. Its Novus Ordo, but reverent. Besides I sometimes go to SSPX masses aswell.

If I had to chose either my local parish or a reverent lutheran church, Id be certain where I'd go. Traditional Lutherans are great and reverent people.

No I live too far out. If I want to go anywhere. I have to go by taxi. I have seizures which keeps me from being able to drive/have a license. I can get most of the things through the internet. But if something is not in walking distance, it's taxi or bust and on my income I couldn't afford a half-hour there and back taxi trip every day.

Prayers, Beloved. Hope others can give advice and help. I hear you, it's tough. Either way, please take care of your soul. Try to get to Mass at least one Sunday a month at the traditional parish, if possible. Pray, pray the Rosary, stay close to the Saints, keep the faith.
I'll talk to my family. Maybe try one Sunday. See how it goes. One Sunday is better than nothing I suppose.

I may do a combination of both. Go to the traditional Latin one when I can afford it and go to the Lutheran one the rest of the time. I'll have to talk to the Catholic priest about it though.

I couldn't say, since we always parked on the street. If I go, I'll be going by taxi ( which I didn't think about before). So I won't have to walk from anywhere and it will be okay.
How bad is it walking from the parking lot to the church on Sunday morning?

the Latin Mass in my city is not in a great area (Hill Top neighbored in Columbus Ohio) but just getting there on Sunday morning is ok

Check with the church office. Explain your transportation problem, and ask if there is a parishioner who lives close to you, and who could be willing to provide you with transportation once a week.

For the daily mass, see if your cable company offers a mass on tv, or watch it on your computer.
Putting a Miraculous Medal on your key chain would also be a good idea, for your safety.:crossrc:
I have one on mine.

I like to stay independent, but if I do decide to attend this church, I might consider that.

I'm plugged in :) It's just not the same.

I'm really struggling to believe in anything Marian and sacramental right now. But I'll think about it.

One of the reasons (beside the obvious protection) that I suggested putting the medal on your key chain, is if (perish the thought!) you are attacked and transported to a local hospital. The medal on your key chain would alert any hospital staff that you are Catholic, and they could notify the local Catholic Chaplain on call that there is a new patient needing his services.

Most people whenever they leave their home, usually take their keys with them. So having that medal on something like the key chain is safer for you than wearing it on a necklace.

Good thinking. I'll definitely do that then.
